Super Bowl in Vegas

Spread the love

Lots of loud and drunk people seeming to have a bunch of fun!

At the convention that my wife is at one of the speakers said since he has been coming to this convention (many years) which always is in late January he is batting 1000. He says this year the year of the raven!

Just walked through Belagio, 9 tables open all $25 with one at $100. Much too much for my 401G!

Monte Carlo up to $15 from $10 in the morning.

Margaritaville at $10 and crowded.

Unless you want to drink, yell, scream, act like a fool and throw away your money, why would anyone who wants to be an advantage player go to Vegas for the Super Bowl? As a matter of fact the Beautiful Alligator Rose and I have been in Vegas for the Super Bowl, the NCAA basketball final four, New Years, and other holiday type trips to a gambling destination. In all cases the table limits were too high, too crowded, the corwd out of control—you name it. We’ve had beer spilled on us, drunks throw up on the table, been knocked down, etc. We don’t even like the weekends that much.

And that my friends is why we go 95% of the time during the week when the table minimuns are less and we play in the early morning, the crowds smaller, and we get more changes for us and our GTC friends to touch the dice in the same amount of time.

Just idle thoughts.

The thoughts are not so idle, Dr. C. You are correct – advantage players avoid the riff-raff and play when they can maximize their advantage.

Sorry, the convention was when it was. Being I don’t follow the Super Bowl ( even though I was at SB 3) I thought it was next weekend when my wife signed up for the convention.

Interesting, at the Palazzo last night, 2 tables were in reserve, EMPTY, for over three hours. Go figure!

Terry Fator and Tim Allen were great. My sides are still hurting from Tim Allen last night. (Colonoscopies!)

Jersey Boys, so so.

BUT enjoying just watching the hoopla!

I and my COPs used to be there every year. Always comped thru Ceasar’s back when we had friends there. Wasn’t into advantage play then, played nothing but the Dark side. Great times drinking an chasing skirt.

We’re all older with families so almost impossible to Get the boys together now. Sad. Probably all be in the rooms by midnight to sleep anyway. Oh well.

Stealthman, early this am was marginal at best, but now it’s insane. Am here thru Tuesday, expect it to be better starting tomorrow.
Here to catch the game, so no complaints.
