Only 2X odds. Tough to make a lot of money, but came home on the up side. Had lots of teen and 20’s rolls with one 42 roll. Most of the players had little to no experience or primarily play on cruise vacations. I thought of the table time as great practice at a low cost for AC.

Replies:

Posted by: getagrip on December 24, 2018, 7:13 pm

Glad you came home with a win! Filled my spot and the one next to me with red and greens.

Really great dealers and supervisors on this ship.

The month before this cruise on a more premium cruise line I had a terrible craps experience.

This cruise line had 3-4-5 odds.

Tried to play my first night and found out this was the worst craps game you will ever experience.
Why is that?

Bouncy table.
Nasty pit supervisors.
Before playing we were given a lecture on their new rules of craps????
Rules
Both dice must hit the back wall. I thought no big deal on that.
After that the pit boss installed 2 Go Pro cameras at the middle of the back wall on each side of the table and then turns them on to watch our every move!!!!
Not too friendly.

My turn —
First throw, set the point.
Next roll point. Stick says NO ROLL!
He states both dice must hit pyramids. One hit pyramids one hit ramp. A ramper is a no roll.
Roll again hit the point.

Next roll hits table one die goes straight to back wall the other hit the wall on the curve. NO ROLL.
I give up.
Play video poker.
Dealers shared my frustrations.Only 2 or 3 people played for the rest of the cruise.

Can’t say which cruise line is the good one or the bad one.
But I will in take a PM if you have questions.

Colorup

John

Posted by: HardNine on December 26, 2018, 6:15 pm

Colorup,
I actually like the rule of no roll on a shorty. We did a cruise out of Japan a few years ago and the craps table never opened. They said it was due to the short amount of time that the boat would be "outside" Japanese limits and it just wasn’t worth them bring all those extra dealers for a few hours of play. At least I lost nothing. Next August Debbie and I are cruising out of South Hampton for 2 weeks on that same cruise line and I hope all the countries we’re going to allow casinos. That bottom line for all is that casinos are for making money and cruises are to relax, drink and party don’t be disappointed when they both don’t coincide.

Tom

MasterBlaster

Spent ten days on a cruise to the Caribbean.
