\nI saw this on my recent trip to Vegas. The dealer said it was and even bet (like the Odds bet), but it sounds more like a 16% HA to me. It is at the Orleans.<\/p>\n

\tHardways pay 5 to 1, BUT they do NOT lose if rolled easy. So either you hit the HW or roll a 7 to resolve the bet. I see 1 way to win and 6 ways to lose, much like the Any 7 bet.<\/p>\n

\tAm I missing something? Of course the dealers think it is a great wager since you don’t lose if a number is rolled easy. It appears to be popular by the amount of action I saw. FISH ON!<\/p>\n

You are not missing anything. This is another crazy crapper bet with a high house edge of 14.29%.<\/p>\n

\tYou correctly stated there is 1 way to win and 6 ways to lose. So when you make a $1 bet 7 times, you wager a total of $7. You collect $6 the 1 time you win for a net loss of $1 out of the $7 you wagered.<\/p>\n

\t1\/7=.1429 or 14.29% house edge against the player.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Our response is simple. If the casino adds a feature (read extra special) bet to a game the house advantage is always much higher than the basic game. <\/p>\n

\tTake any special bet for any table game it is always not a good bet. Take your poison—fire bet, ATS and repeater bet at craps for example they are basically awful.<\/p>\n
