Buy bets and comebets with odds are the best bets you can make. I guess Billy, Daryl, and I need to think of a better way to say all this at our seminars so everyone understands.

On the casino personnel not knowing about the buy of the 5/9 – Just shows you how STUPID they are!

Dom

Posted by: Preacher on September 14, 2018, 5:55 pm

Since the House Advantage (HA) on the 5/9 Place Bet is 4.00%, it’s easy to see why a Buy bet that takes the vig only on the win is a better bet, as Dom said.

Then there’s the Put bet. This bet is better than a Place Bet when 2 conditions occur:
1) the casino offers 30x odds or higher (I have friends that bet max odds at 100x, so I pointed this out to them. But I’m talking about $500 to $10,000 odds bets.)
2) your Odds bet on a Come Bet just came down.

The HA on the flat portion of the Put Bet is:
– 33% on the 4/10
– 20% on the 5/9
– 9.09% on the 6/8.
Huge HA, right? Let’s compare a $10 Put Bet and $1000 odds with a $1010 Place/Buy bet.
– 4/10 pays $2010 on the Put, pays $1,919 on the Buy.
– 5/9 pays $1510 on the Put, pays $1414 on the Place.
– 6/8 pays $1210 on the Put, pays $1178 on the Place.
Now, when the bets are $8000 to $10,000, you can see the Put Bet can pay $1000 more than a Place/Buy bet. Technically, a Put Bet gets better than a Place bet when you have 20x odds or better.

If you do this, you will need to keep a Come Bet going, and increase the Come Bet if you’re odds bet exceeds the casino limit for your current Come Bet. In this scenario, the Put Bet is temporary until your Come Bet moves up. Otherwise, you will have to replace the Put Bet when that number is rolled, in order to keep your odds bet going.

Again, this is only worth doing if you or your friends are betting thousands of dollars in 20x odds or higher. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Posted by: ACPA on September 14, 2018, 8:41 pm

A put bet with odds makes a lot of sense, if the available odds are big enough.

Noah

still a newb, pls be easy on me. looking for input as i have never bought the 5 or 9 before. was in vegas yesterday at a table at the X. was hitting pretty good and tried to buy the…

[9

post-9860","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-craps
["GET
