\nSpent Xmas until today in AC. Played Xmas day at my small casino. I promised Dom that I would give Come betting a fair chance, even though I had been a long time Place bettor. I basically only made Come bets. Xmas PM shot well with a 25 roll. But, my body position vis a vis my left shoulder was and had been uncomfortable since recent tune-up. Made $353. Yesterday at 6:30 AM went to shoot. Again, only Come bets. Got destroyed and lost about 625. Took a nap and went back after 10 AM. Decided to balance my stance putting no pressure on left shoulder. (I shoot lefty from SR1). Had good rolls and then a killer 39 roll with 12 collections. After 10 collections I made my only Place bet for this trip on the 8. Already had a Come bet on it. I hit it on collection 11. Made 1850.<\/p>\n
\tMy losses were less, though my winnings were less using $10 flat bets with $50 odds. With Place bets I could of course keep raising them. For me, a unique problem occurred. My rack was totally full of green and red and some white. At one point I asked the box person if I could get $100 chips and turn in about $1000 of green and red. She said I could wait until my roll was finished. I was miffed. My rack had no room to accommodate more chips and I was using the rack next to mine and it was getting full. I turned to the stick and said look at my rack, you see the problem. He spoke up for me and I got what I wanted. I was still not a happy camper. As always, I tip. In fact, I was the only one tipping. Later that day I called my mentor and he said they should have dealt to the rack and prevented the problem. But, I needed to speak up more forcefully before the problem presented itself. This AM, a member of yesterday’s crew was on stick and he volunteered that the Box was wrong. <\/p>\n
\tI went to another casino for about an hour and hit the $25 table. I continued shooting well and made $496. Went back to my hotel and rolled a 40. Again, only Come betting. There are some issues unresolved. Out of 8 sessions, only two were losers. They both took place on my first session of yesterday and today at about 6:30 AM. A return to the same table after an hour to an hour and a half respite brought completely different and positive results. I am not sure how to explain this anomaly.<\/p>\n
\tI think I am going to have to increase my $10 flat bets at the $10 table after 6 to 8 collections with $25 and max odds. Something to ponder.<\/p>\n

At one casino with 2x odds max, I used the collection on each point, flat bet with 2x odds, to make a Place Bet on the same point – also called double dipping. It is a slower way to build bets, but it also has little to no loss exposure. It worked well for me.<\/p>\n \tDom reposted the article, \u201cThe Big Skinny\u201d, on Nov 12, 2017, if you have not read it. It will give you some ideas about how to handle come bets on extended rolls. <\/p>\n \tI would recommend experimenting with it in practice or make up some imaginary hands giving it a try. Once you feel comfortable with it you may find different ways to modify the method that is most suitable to you.<\/p>\n \tBut at least it is a starting point from which to form a basis for betting using come bets as a hand progresses.<\/p>\n \tHere is the main article.
