I did play on Thursday after driving from Los Angeles, but left Thursday without playing at all.

I’v already posted about my best roll, a 56 where I hit the ATS twice on the same roll, and one of the DIs I had met told me that roll got him even, as he had been down from earlier rolls. Turned out he later hit the ATS himself before going home, so I hope he was a winner this trip.

Some summary numbers for the total trip before I discuss some days in greater details. I rolled the dice myself for 1,102 individual rolls for the six throwing days. That’s an average that more than the rolls I do on my tossing rig I have in the Condo in Los Angeles. I had 286 comeout rolls, most of which were with a seven set. I didn’t use the seven set, except for my initial throw on the 56 roll.

84 of the CO rolls were 7/11 winners and only 23 of them were CO craps 2,3,12.. Expected would have been 63.6 winners and 31.7 losers so you can see that my CO rolls were a lot better than expected.

For what’s it worth 87 of my points were 6/8, 67 were 5/9, and 48 were 4/10. The spread sheet I input my rolls into doesn’t calculate how many of these points I converted into winners.

My SRR on my 814 non CO rolls was only 6.07 (134 of the 816 non CO rolls were SO).

I’ll talk about individual days later.

Noah

Replies:

Posted by: JawBones on August 30, 2017, 12:10 am

First of all, thanks for sharing your trip reports. Do you write every roll on a piece of paper as you roll?

I track rolls with chips but it is usually all I can do to just keep track of how many rolls and that is without tracking which numbers I hit, how many come-out paydays, PSO’s, etc. I am really curious how you track all of this and maintain the focus that our skill requires.

I am certainly not trying to sound critical or anything. First roll was only 4 and I started out with a CO 7. Set an 8 as the point and then rolled a 10 and seven out so I lost a little..

I had bought in when the previous shooter had made a point and the table emptied out after he finished a roll that I lost a little on, so I got the dice right back. My next roll I came out on a 6 which I made two rolls later. After throwing a craps, I set the 4 as my point. Never rolled the 4 but had a total roll of 19 before I SO. Four people joined the table during my roll.

I was on a CFer had a roll of 19 and I am now ahead. The next CFer has a roll I make a little on and then I have a roll of 9 that I make a little more on. The CFer after me seven outs when I made my first bet, a come bet, so I win one red. Next CFer has a decent roll but I break even on my bets and I leave up a high double digit amount.

After we check in at our hotel I get my spot at the table. Lose two reds on the shooter that I first bet on. I have a roll of 10 that starts out with a CO seven and don’t collect anything else on. Losing half of what I had won on my stop into Vegas on my own rolls and enough on other shooter so I was about even for the trip.

I changed table and rolled 7 more times and lost in total on my own rolls a high double digit amount but caught 3 rolls in the 20s from others and was up more than I won on the way into Vegas.

Saturday morning there was only one table open so I walked across the street where Sally usually could find a 100 play penny 9/6 JOB VP machine. We grabbed a quick biscuit for breakfast.

The single table open had emptied while we got a bite so I got SL1 on a $5 table. My first roll started with two craps tosses and then a point of 6. Eight rolls later I had the seven out with my only collected being on the one 8 I rolled.. Second hand wasn’t quite as bad came out on a 5 and 4 rolls later made it. Next CO was the 10 and I had 3 six/eights before the second out but loss less than the first roll.

Third roll of mine after two rolls by other was 30. Made points of 5, 8, 6, 8, 9, and 10. Won mid 100s and after another shooters roll of 3 that I didn’t have a bet on I called it quit winning a Benny at this casino. Walked back to my casino and after relaxing for a while shot six times. First three times were shots of 4,3,3 with no points made. Next three times were better, 8, 7, 14 making single digit on the first two and mid double digit win on the last one. CFer shot roll of 4, 7, 8 and I lost a little on two of them. I’ve given back a little more than what I won earlier that morning.

Met a DIer and his wife at a sister casino of where we were staying. We were able to get to a partially full table. He was SL1 and I shot from SR1. My rolls were 7,3,2, 12, 4, 7 and 2. His were 5, 10, 2,4, and 10. The other shooters were 7,8,3,9, 7, 3. I only bet on three of the other shooters and brook even on one, lost single digit on one and won single digit on the other. I made single digit on one of the DI’s roll, broke even on one I, lost single digit on one and lost low double digit on the only other one I bet on.

I shot one time an another casino across the street from where we were staying and won a benny and some one with a roll of 18. Had two CO craps, two winning 7s, and made points of 10 and but couldn’t make the second point of 10 I rolled. Table filled up on me and I left without betting on anyone else.

We had something to eat there and then went back to where we were staying,.

Later in the day I rolled from SR with a roll of 18 winning a little more than I had across the street earlier. Made points of 4, 10, 4 and couldn’t make my point of 8. I rolled thrre 6s that I collected on but no 8s on that roll except for my last CO.

Followed that roll with rolls of 9 that I lost on, 14 and 13 that I won on, then 8 that I loston. I was up another benny pn that time shooting.

After supper I shot again where I was staying and had roll of 4 and 15 and won some but lost more on betting on other shooters.

That complete my first full day where I rolled 228 rolls over 23 times with the dice. I had 9 double digit rolls and a SRR on that days of 7.00 on non CO rolls where I was not setting for a seven, i.e. using a HW set.

  More will follow.

Noah

Posted by: GreenMachine on August 31, 2017, 4:17 pm

ACPA

Where is your local casino?

Posted by: ACPA on August 31, 2017, 4:58 pm

All the southern Calif casino use cards so I seldom go to any of them so my about trips a year to Vegas provide local casinos. They were already at the table when I got there. Two at SR and one at SL and one other person at straight out SL. SL was throwing and I got in on a break but didn’t get a bet down.

My first roll was a PSO with the 10 as the point. The other person had a roll of 10 and I lost some more. The DI had a roll of seven and I lost a come bet with double odds. The female DI had a roll of 5 and I lost another bet on her. The DI next to me had a roll of six and I lost a red on him.

I had a roll of 27 starting with a CO nine that it took me 11 rolls to make. Next roll was a CO 4 which I never made. I did roll all three parts of the ATS when I made the 11 on my next to last roll. I recovered about half of my previous losses.

The non DI at the table had a three. The the DI had a roll of 9, starting out with three sevens before setting the 5 which he didn’t make.I lost a single digit on him.

The Mrs. DI who followed had a roll of 6.
