Most tables out here are $5 min. There is a place I know that has tables that are $10 and $25. My question is, why do they vary? I looked and the payouts aren’t any better at the more expensive tables and the rules are all the same so I was curious why they do that. The only thing that comes to mind is to get you to spend more faster.

Replies:

Posted by: Dr Crapology on May 23, 2017, 11:07 am

The casinos simply want you to lose quicker with the $10 and $25 tables. I like to test the waters first. I play at home before I go, but there’s still time to drive down there, and get in my spot. This is usually the "table minimum" as posted at the table. This is usually the $5, $10, $15 or $25 minimum bets.

Secondly, for the prop bets in the middle of the table, which usually have a $1 minimum bet.

At least this is what we usually see.

Rose and Doc

PS—Finisher, you are really selling yourself short—your posts are certainly worth more than $.01.
