(AP) \u2013 The Florida Senate continues to block a major gambling bill in the final days of the 2016 session.<\/p>\n<p>\tTop Republican Senate leaders said Wednesday they have no plans to vote on a proposed deal with the Seminole Tribe of Florida. That deal would allow the tribe to add craps and roulette at their existing casinos. The bill would also allow slot machines to be added at existing dog and horse tracks.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe legislation is stalled in a Senate committee. The session ends March 11.<\/p>\n<p>\tSenate President Andy Gardiner contended that the bill had so many provisions in it that it was \u201ctoo heavy\u201d to pass. Some senators have said they are opposed because it is a significant expansion of gambling.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe Florida House has rejected gambling bills during the past few years, but the bill has been moving in that chamber this year.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>Replies:<\/h3>\n<div class=\"migrated-reply\" style=\"border: 1px solid #eee;padding: 15px;margin-bottom: 15px;border-radius: 5px\">\n<p><strong>Posted by:<\/strong> Dr Crapology on March 6, 2016, 1:06 pm<\/p>\n<div>The Florida Legislature not allowing the expansion of gambling&#8211;craps and roulette as well as slots at race tracks&#8211;is stupid.  The citizens of this good state are losing a ton of tax revenue that the state can certainly used.  Go to any neighboring state where gambling is legal and I bet many of the car license plates are from Florida.  <\/p>\n<p>\tThe same type of thing is happening in Texas where we may have horse racing, dog racing and the lotto, but no casinos.  Go to Louisiana and almost all of the car license plates are from Texas&#8212;Lake Charles and Shreveport\/Bossier City come to mind.  Texas is also losing a ton of money and they are certainly not keeping the citizens of the Lone Star State from gambling.  <\/p>\n<p>\tThere are some excellent situations in Louisiana (and Mississippi) and Rose and Doc do love to travel.
