\tHARTFORD, Conn. (AP) \u2013 Foxwoods Resort Casino has reported gains in betting and revenue, while its Connecticut neighbor, Mohegan Sun, reported a drop in its financial results.<\/p>\n

\tFoxwoods said Thursday that bets in July were $553.3 million, up 4 percent from the same month last year. Mohegan Sun reported $632.3 million in bets, down from $646.2 million in July 2014.<\/p>\n

\tFoxwoods, which is operated by the Mashantucket Pequots, said slot revenue was $44.5 million, up slightly from $44.3 million. Mohegan Sun said revenue was $51.6 million, down by about $1 million from July 2014.<\/p>\n

\tThe weak economic recovery and competition in the region have undermined the casinos\u2019 performance in the past several years. Mohegan Sun got a boost Wednesday with a ratings increase by Moody\u2019s Investors Service and in July reported strong third-quarter profit.<\/p>\n

Just remember the state of Conn. gets 25% of the slot revenue from each casino each and every month. The casino’s do not give the state anything from any of the other revenue, only the slot machines.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
