{"id":8854,"date":"2015-04-20T17:05:22","date_gmt":"2015-04-20T17:05:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumarchives.tmsites.net\/index.php\/2015\/04\/20\/caesars-division-asks-for-more-time-to-file-bankruptcy-plan\/"},"modified":"2015-04-20T17:05:22","modified_gmt":"2015-04-20T17:05:22","slug":"caesars-division-asks-for-more-time-to-file-bankruptcy-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumarchives.tmsites.net\/index.php\/2015\/04\/20\/caesars-division-asks-for-more-time-to-file-bankruptcy-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"Caesars division asks for more time to file bankruptcy plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- Original Post Content --><br \/>\nThe bankrupt operating division of casino empire Caesars Entertainment Corp. wants more time to file its reorganization plan to get out from under some $18 billion in debt.<\/p>\n<p>\tCaesars Entertainment Operating Co. lawyers filed a motion this week asking a bankruptcy judge in Chicago to allow the company six more months to file its own plan exclusively.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe company has until May 15 but asked for the extension pointing out the case\u2019s complexity involving 173 business entities, dueling creditor groups, legal challenges and a pending investigation from the court-appointed examiner looking into the company\u2019s past transactions.<\/p>\n<p>\tCaesars Entertainment Operating Co. wants until November 15 to file giving creditors until January 2016 to weigh in.<\/p>\n<p>\tJudge A.
