\tCosmopolitan adds ice with rink\u2019s return<\/p>\n
\tIce on the Strip usually means an on-the-rocks cocktail.<\/p>\n
\tBut not at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas \u2014 which, starting Friday, once again transforms its Boulevard Pool into an overlooking-the-Strip ice rink.<\/p>\n
\tUnlike real winter wonderlands, this one guarantees snow throughout December, with scheduled light snowfalls occurring every half-hour between 6 and 10 p.m., Thursdays through Sundays.<\/p>\n
\tAn expanded skating area \u2014 more than 4,200 square feet of real ice \u2014 will greet skaters through Jan. 4. In addition to ice skating, The Cosmopolitan\u2019s rink will serve up seasonal food, from chili to make-by-the-fire pit s\u2019mores. Special winter drinks include the tequila-spiked Campfire Delight.<\/p>\n
\tThemed nights also return, including \u201cDate Skate\u201d Mondays \u2014 featuring favorite holiday movies on The Cosmo\u2019s digital marquee \u2014 and \u201cThrowback Thursdays,\u201d when guests can groove to music from the 1970s, \u201980s and \u201990s. (Don\u2019t forget the leg warmers and disco duds.)<\/p>\n
\tThe Cosmopolitan\u2019s ice rink will be open from 3 p.m. to midnight weekdays, with the rink operating noon to midnight on weekends. (The noon-to-midnight schedule will be in effect every day from Dec. 22 to Jan. 2 \u2014 except on New Year\u2019s Eve, when the party continues past 2015\u2019s midnight arrival.)<\/p>\n
\tIf you just want to enjoy the atmosphere, admission to the ice rink is free for guests 2 and older; those 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult over 21.<\/p>\n
\tAll-day skating access is $15; on weekdays, all-day skating access for Nevada residents is $10. Visitors may bring their own skates or rent skates at $5 per pair.<\/p>\n
