\tPoker standout Daniel Negreanu and former World Series of Poker Tournament Director Jack McClelland were selected Thursday as 2014 inductees into the Poker Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n
\tThe two will be inducted next month during when the World Series of Poker\u2019s Main Event wraps up competition.<\/p>\n
\tNegreanu, 40, who was born in Canada, has earned more than $30 million in live tournament winnings. He owns six World Series of Poker individual event championship bracelets, is a two-time World Series of Poker Player of the Year and is third on the World Series of Poker all-time money list.<\/p>\n
\tMcClelland, 63, spent four decades in the game on the operator side of the business. He was the tournament director of the World Series of Poker in the 1980s when the event was held at Binion\u2019s Horseshoe in downtown Las Vegas. He ran the Bellagio Poker Room from 2002 to 2013.<\/p>\n
\tThe two were nominated by the public and voted in by a 41-person panel made up of existing Poker Hall of Fame members and media members. The Poker Hall of Fame Governing Council announced the selections.<\/p>\n
\t\u201cWhile a contrast in styles, there is a common thread between these two deserving nominees,\u201d said Ty Stewart, a member of the governing council. \u201cBoth live all-in on poker and have devoted their full hearts to the game.\u201d<\/p>\n
\tMcClelland and Negreanu will be inducted officially on Nov. 9 at 7:30 pm at Binion\u2019s.<\/p>\n
