\n\tJudge order temporary restraining order against Helena Wong<\/p>\n

\tBALTIMORE \u2014On the eve of Horseshoe Casino’s grand opening, one of its employees is the subject of a lawsuit filed by its main competitor.<\/p>\n

\tAccording to a lawsuit filed in federal court last week, a former employee at Maryland Live Casino stole confidential information, including a list of high rollers, and used it to lure gamblers to Horseshoe Casino.<\/p>\n

\tThe lawsuit said Helena Wong worked as a VIP casino host at Maryland Live before taking a job at Horseshoe. A U.S. district judge has issued a temporary restraining order against her.<\/p>\n

\tAccording to court documents, on Aug. 20, Wong sent an email to at least 1,000 high-end Maryland Live customers promoting the Horseshoe Casino’s grand opening on Tuesday. The email said, "If any of you would like to visit the property or come for a night or two, please contact me ahead of time so that I can set it up for you."<\/p>\n

\tThe next day, Maryland Live officials said Wong sent another email, saying, "PS- please do not repeat or show this email to any of Maryland Live’s personnel. This is a confidential email between us."<\/p>\n

\tAccording to Maryland Live, as VIP host, Wong had access to the casino’s confidential gambler lists. They said she started working there in January and resigned in June. Wong was hired by Horseshoe Casino in July, according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n

\tIn a statement to 11 News, Maryland Live spokeswoman Monique Ianos said customers complained about Wong’s emails and that "the former employee knew her actions were wrong and in fact requested, in writing, that her communications be kept secret from Maryland Live Casino."<\/p>\n

\tMaryland Live alleged that, if continued, Wong’s actions could cause "irreparable harm" and cost the casino at least $75,000.<\/p>\n

\tHorseshoe Casino was not included in the lawsuit. Officials there sent a statement to 11 News saying that they had no comment about the case against Wong. They didn’t say if she was still an employee.<\/p>\n

\tWong has been ordered to appear for a preliminary injunction hearing Friday.<\/p>\n
