\tThe Downtown Grand has a slate of new executives.<\/p>\n
\tManagement announced today that Marie Ramsey was hired as chief financial officer; Jeffrey Rabinowitz joined as casino financial analyst; Ken Mumby is director of table games; and Anthony Bender is director of casino marketing.<\/p>\n
\tThey occupy four new positions at the Las Vegas resort, Downtown Grand CEO Seth Schorr said.<\/p>\n
\tBefore joining Downtown Grand, Ramsey was chief financial officer at the Tropicana, vice president of finance at MGM Grand, and she held senior financial jobs at New York-New York and at Station Casinos.<\/p>\n
\tRabinowitz will work closely with Ramsey and oversee Downtown Grand\u2019s points program. He most recently was a financial analyst with Maryland Live! Casino in Hanover, Md. He also was a marketing and analyst intern in summer 2012 at the Venetian, and prior to that, an attorney for three years with Stewart Law Firm in Henderson, according to his LinkedIn profile.<\/p>\n
\tMumby, with 35 years of casino industry experience, most recently was vice president of casino operations for Planet Hollywood.<\/p>\n
\tBender will oversee promotions, giveaways and other advertising and marketing efforts at the Downtown Grand. He has held management roles at the Riviera and at Stratosphere owner American Casino & Entertainment Properties.<\/p>\n
\tThe 634-room Downtown Grand, at North Third Street and East Ogden Avenue, opened in October. It formerly was known as the Lady Luck, whose owners closed the resort six and a half years ago and gutted it.<\/p>\n
\tCIM Group, a Los Angeles-based real estate investment firm, owns the property, and Las Vegas\u2019 Fifth Street Gaming, led by Schorr who runs the casino.<\/p>\n
