But, what does he know about NJ? There was no &quot;pride of ownership&quot;. The places quickly became dirty crime filled dangerous places.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe elected official that should have been policing the area instead chose to line their pockets. Politician after politician fell to corruption probes.<\/p>\n<p>\tAt the same time casino management was evolving from casino entertainment leaders to accountants.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe bottom line became their god.<\/p>\n<p>\tThey made games harder to have a modest win. They raised minimums bets to churn players faster.<\/p>\n<p>\tThey delayed maintenance on properties to the point that casinos had duct tape across ripped carpeting, decades old hotel rooms had mismatched furniture stained carpets and the stench of hidden mold.<\/p>\n<p>\tVagrants roamed the slots aisles aggressively panhandling. Afraid of being called a &quot;insensitive&quot; or worse yet be forever branded with the &quot;racist&quot; scarlet letter, casino security at the direction of cowering management turned a blind eye to the smelly riff raff harassing elderly day trippers.<\/p>\n<p>\t&#8230;&#8230;.. They have taken the lead in making the games worse.  They were not content with low house edge games.  You can&#8217;t find a decent return Video Poker game in AC anymore.  The 8 deck blackjack with crappy rules, the 6\/5 stuff, all with high table minimums.  <\/p>\n<p>\tIt appears to me that these Casino corporations are churning themselves out of business.  They have sucked the gaming dollars out of the responsible gamblers.  This is just beginning.  AC should be the &quot;canary in the coal mine&quot; for the casino industry. Fairly certain that Harrahs had bought it by then. We went around looking and found that some you had to play 10 coins for max. also think the pay was different tho . <br \/>\n\tBut my wife made the mistake of hitting Max. when first getting there to find that was 10 coins . Luck was on her side to get a pair for a return of her bet . She then made sure how much Max. bet was after that .<br \/>\n\tIt pays to look before you loose ALL .<br \/>\n\tMy son thought that Max. bet was 5 on all machines .
