{"id":7596,"date":"2014-07-01T17:02:38","date_gmt":"2014-07-01T17:02:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumarchives.tmsites.net\/index.php\/2014\/07\/01\/aria-agrees-to-100000-fine-for-preventing-viewing-of-roulette-game\/"},"modified":"2014-07-01T17:02:38","modified_gmt":"2014-07-01T17:02:38","slug":"aria-agrees-to-100000-fine-for-preventing-viewing-of-roulette-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumarchives.tmsites.net\/index.php\/2014\/07\/01\/aria-agrees-to-100000-fine-for-preventing-viewing-of-roulette-game\/","title":{"rendered":"Aria agrees to $100,000 fine for preventing viewing of roulette game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- Original Post Content --><br \/>\nCARSON CITY \u2014 The Aria on the Las Vegas Strip has agreed to pay a $100,000 fine for preventing a pair of state gaming agents from observing a high-stakes roulette game that, under state law, must remain open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe law states that \u201caccess of the general public to gaming activities must not be restricted in any manner except provided by the Legislature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\tIn February, the state Gaming Control Board accused the casino, operated by MGM Resorts International, of preventing the agents from watching the roulette game in the casino\u2019s Salon Prive in October 2013.<\/p>\n<p>\tAccording to a complaint, a floor supervisor told the agents that the players did not want them watching and threatened to have them removed by security.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe Aria had been warned twice before by the Gaming Control Board of similar violations, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>\tIn a stipulation released Monday, the Aria did not contest the allegations and agreed to the settlement with the board.
