\nI am proposing to all GTC partners, instructors, mentors, grads and students, that we should all get together and open up<\/p>\n

\t"Golden Touch Casino and Spa Resort"<\/p>\n

\tThe Revel will accept any financially backed offer of $100 million or better. The hotel cost $2.3 billion dollars to construct and open. It is a financial steal. And on the bright side, we don’t have to rent out space in other hotels to teach the class anymore. Anyone in???<\/p>\n

\tAnd if $100 million is just too much, we can probably offer Caesars $25 million for the Showboat!<\/p>\n

We could start a front corporation and solicit partnerships through the Native Indian tribes and probably put a deal together. This would allow them to hide\/launder profits if we cook the books a tad.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We could also try to put together a REIT investment fund and probably have no problems getting enough funding to leverage the deal but not sure if the gaming commission would allow that. How about we turn the top half or more of the hotel into condos and time shares to fund the casino and reduce the overall maintenance burden? Probably be able to get state and federal funding if we allocated a portion of the housing to seniors and lower incomes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Whats the price on the Plaza? I can’t find anything on it? I have wanted to own my own casino since I was a little kid. I even looked into buying a casino in the Caribbean once.<\/p>\n

I think Trump Plaza would have been the one to get. I fear Revel is too big for AC in this day and age with all the competition from other states. The purchase price for Revel is low enough for that venue. But I believe the monthly costs are too big a hurdle to overcome regularly to make it a going concern.<\/p>\n

\tShowboat is a possibility but no one has been able to make it work so far. I don’t know what could change that around given the competition.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Everything I have read say’s that Showboat is a profitable hotel and casino. I think the reason they are getting rid of it is to make a run at the revel. And they can’t have more then 4 casinos in New Jersey. I think the way to go is to market it as a "WE WILL DO ANYTHING YOU NEED US TO DO TO MAKE YOUR STAY PERFECT". Atlantic City needs some customer service. Bring in the games that people like to play. The very bad bet blackjack games that are fun to play. Blackjack switch and free bet blackjack and run 21. Offer 100x odds in craps. Single zero roulette. Make it cozy and comfortable and inviting. Pool tables in the lounges and lobbies, Thats my thought! Would love to know others opinions.<\/p>\n

Little Debbe You may have something there . It took a day and going past 4 instructors before one noticed that I had one nail that was longer then the rest . So when I put them down to table to get them even they were not .

I was in AC this weekend<\/p>\n

\tFrom what I hear, Caesars is making a run at REVEL — Showboat is closing on 8\/31 (The "old" rumor was that Hard Rock was going to buy Showboat, but it did not happen)<\/p>\n

\tI also heard from the REVEL dealers\/supv’s that a very famous individual \/ property guy (think of a Vegas hotel north of The Venetian) was in AC looking at the REVEL property<\/p>\n

\tREVEL’s casino is kind of small and I’m pretty sure that the smart & savvy craps players (if such a thing) will not frequent REVEL too much<\/p>\n

\tREVEL is beautiful and they have the best drinks, nicest rooms, and hottest waitresses in AC. The late-night "eye candy" is awesome on Friday & Saturday nights<\/p>\n

\tBut, I’d rather play "serious" craps at a few other "select" casinos<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n\tNow they should call on their unions and members to sieze the opportunity

\n\tThey definitely "know better than their owners" how to run the place.
\n\t$20,000,000 for the casino amounts to $10,000 from each of 2,000 employees in that casino.
\n\tThe unions must be sitting on a lot of cash they have been squeezing out of those greedy capitalists.<\/p>\n

\tThere’s a local supermarket here that is doing very well with employees who share ownership.
\n\tYou can see it in the service you get whn you shop there.
\n\tWouldn’t you like to go to a casino run by owner\/employees? Would the service be better?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We may have a problem, with our ownership group. A lot of the GTC members are self employed, retired, or working in management positions. We may have to many Kings and not enough Peasants. ( I was going to many Chiefs and not enough Indians, we say that in Texas but I did not want to offend anyone from other regions ) \ud83d\ude06<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Guys, I think the reason why so many Casinos are for sale is what has been happening in the new York area. <\/p>\n

\tAs a boy, my family and I used to go to the Catskills, and I have heard since forever-and-a-day that Gambling will revitalize the area, well, yeah, but now it seems the day has come.<\/p>\n

\tI live newar NYC, and for me, the closest area is in Tuxedo Park, in a place called Woodbury common. That is a mere 45 mins from where I am. Now, granted, these casinos are still being built, but if you have been paying attention (as I have) to some of the specific language of the law, the language is clear that whoever is granted a license MUST have their hotel operational in 2 years. <\/p>\n

\tThe motivation for the granting of licenses in New York is to motivate New York players from going to CT or Atlantic City, and keeping those dollars in New York.<\/p>\n
