(AP) \u2014 Foxwoods Resort Casino has announced plans to cut some hours of operation on portion of its gaming floor.<\/p>\n<p>\tA memo to employees obtained by The Day of New London says the casino will shut down slot machines and some table games in the Rainmaker Casino area from early 4 a.m. on Mondays until 9 a.m. on Fridays.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe casino says the changes also will result in \u2018\u2018staffing changes across all levels of employment.\u2019\u2019 The company did not say whether layoffs would be part of that plan.<\/p>\n<p>\tBilly Shea, president of the union local that represents dealers and beverage servers, says he has not been notified of any staff reductions.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe Rainmaker Casino is one of six gaming areas at Foxwoods, which has just under 6,000 employees.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>Replies:<\/h3>\n<p>No replies were posted for this topic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MASHANTUCKET, Conn.
