\n\tCaesars Entertainment, Atlantic City\u2019s largest casino operator, will tap the Montreal market for gambling customers by combining hotel packages with new charter flights between Atlantic City and upstate New York.

\n\tService from Plattsburgh, N.Y., to Atlantic City International Airport will begin April 23 and run through August using jets operated by Republic Airways, which handles air charters for Caesars\u2019 casino hotels across the country.
\n\tGarry Douglas, president of the North Country Chamber of Commerce in Plattsburgh, noted that the summer charter flights will extend Caesars\u2019 reach into the potentially lucrative Montreal metropolitan market consisting of 3.5 million people.
\n\t\u201cWe are Montreal\u2019s U.S. airport,\u201d Douglas said of Plattsburgh International Airport. \u201cWe\u2019re only a one-hour drive from downtown Montreal.\u201d
\n\tCanada has casinos scattered across the country, but Douglas said gamblers from Montreal, Vermont and upstate New York also want to visit the resort-style properties found in Atlantic City.
\n\tAtlantic City\u2019s megaresorts have been trying to distinguish themselves from competing casinos in surrounding states by touting their dining, retail and entertainment attractions, as well as their gambling floors. A Caesars executive indicated the new Plattsburgh-Atlantic City service is part of that strategy.
\n\t\u201cIn this extremely competitive marketplace, it is essential that we as an entertainment and hospitality company align ourselves with outstanding partners such as the Plattsburgh International Airport,\u201d Scott Barber, regional president of Caesars Entertainment\u2019s Mid-South Division, said in a statement.
\n\tCaesars Entertainment is Atlantic City\u2019s biggest casino operator, overseeing the Bally\u2019s, Caesars, Harrah\u2019s Resort and Showboat brands. Caesars has been using Republic Airways for charter flights to feed customers to those casinos from cities throughout the East and beyond.
