\nI have had dealers ask how I want the dice set ? I normally say that it does not matter .
\n\tHow many out there tell the dealers what set they want if asked ?
\n\tIf they come to you set in a hard way set but not the one you usually use do you change it or just throw with the set that the dice came to you with ?
\n\tSame with the 3 -V ?
\n\tI have received them in the 3-V lots of times and change to the hard way set .Do not recall ever receiving them in 2-V Set tho .
\n\tI know that the dealers in training get told not to send the dice set with 7 showing .
\n\tThey also are trained to bring the dice in front of box person to look at . That is why you see them flipping them over in front of box some times .
\n\tO yes some times they are just bored . Also want to practice too .
\n\tWere I play some times I feel like its craps 101 . With the dealers learning the game . \ud83d\ude42 \ud83d\ude42

If asked I will tell them hard 10 since that is how I set anyway. Many times, especially after they notice I am regularly tipping, they will send them out with the 5’s up. <\/p>\n

\tIt is obvious that I am setting the dice, and it doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to notice I always set with 10 hard. Why try to hide it, or worse, try to BS them?<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I remember a time I was playing with a crew that I have known for years. They know me well and my set. The stickman suddenly decided he was going to set the dice for me. I guess he was bored and wanted something to do. When he had the dice in the center he would flip them over to my set. But they are not used to flipping the dice for a specific set. They only want to be sure there is a box number on top when they pass them.<\/p>\n

\tIt was taking him a long time to get my set. He did it a few times and was clearly struggling. The other two dealers and I were exchanging glances. Finally, one of his crew members spoke up and said, "Just pass them to him already. He is faster and better at setting the dice than you so give them to him so we can get on with the game." Everyone at the table cracked up, the stickman turned red and he stopped trying to set them for me.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I actually tell them, if they ask, and it doesn’t happen very often, that it doesn’t matter. I really don’t want them involved with me at all. <\/p>\n

I Agree with Dom. When I am shooting, I don’t want conversation with the dealers. I want to focus. When the dice are passed, it’s nice when the table goes quiet like a pro golfer stepping up to the tee box.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I on the other hand like the BS. I don’t like it when it gets silent when I’m about to throw. I can tune out the BS but the quiet I can’t tune out.

\tThere are people that I play with that are just like you … Billy, Skinny, …. and others. You guys have a talent for this chatter that I don’t. I am not saying to do it my way, just that I don’t like to talk to the dealers. Maybe it is because I do get recognized and sometimes the comments can get out of hand.<\/p>\n
