\tIn our classes Dominator and I mention that in any long or money-making rolls you do need some \u201cluck.\u201d What the heck does that mean? You don\u2019t have an edge without luck? <\/p>\n
\tNo it doesn\u2019t mean that. <\/p>\n
\tJust recall any winning roll you had and remember that every so often those dice slipped out of your fingers and you knew the darn shot was awful. Then you started sincerely praying or as Dominator does, you called out, \u201cGive me some luck!\u201d because you knew that shot was not at all controlled. In fact, that shot was random. <\/p>\n
\tOkay, the luck you obviously needed was for that devilish 7 not to show. <\/p>\n
\tNow the good news is that the 7 shows only 17 percent of the time so you will have a very good chance that luck will indeed favor you. As the roll progresses, at times this randomness will happen \u2013 so you need that luck to keep the roll going. Even the great Captain\u2019s World Record roll of 147 numbers needed some luck because sometimes even his dice looked awful. <\/p>\n
\tNow even with a truly controlled throw there are still levels of control to it. These \u201cless than perfect\u201d rolls are somewhat decent but the dice don\u2019t look all that great in the air, don\u2019t land all that great on the layout, don\u2019t hit the back wall all that great, don\u2019t end all that great but the 7 on those rolls might only show up 15 percent of the time. You can go down from there. Truly great rolls might show the seven 8 to 10 percent of the time. (Yes, some rolls that look perfect also have that darn 7 showing but remember no roll, let me repeat, NO ROLL, is free from a 7 possibility. A lot of dice controllers don\u2019t realize this fact.) <\/p>\n
\tSo luck is needed on winning and long rolls, and even controlled rolls have levels of perfection to them, and, once more, all rolls have a 7 possibility no matter how great it is. <\/p>\n
\tAnd that is that.<\/p>\n
