\tCLEVELAND, Ohio — The sound of that big guitar at the Hard Rock Rocksino is being heard at the Horseshoe Casino.<\/p>\n
\tDan Gilbert\u2019s gambling palace has rolled out drink deals and live music as part of an increased emphasis on entertainment. It comes in the wake of the December opening of the Hard Rock Rocksino at Northfield Park, where the entertainment is as much a component as the gambling.<\/p>\n
\tCompetition breeds competition which, in this case, spawns cheap drinks and free music.<\/p>\n
\tOn Thursdays, the Horseshoe is doing Shaken & Stirred Ladies Night at the Vintage 51 bar, located on the second floor. You get a four-ounce \u2018mini-tini\u2019 for a buck \u2013 three varieties: Willy Wonka, Pink Diamond and Wheel of Fortune.<\/p>\n
\tDespite the \u2018ladies night\u2019 theme, men are also allowed to drink them \u2013 and you don\u2019t have to dress in drag or find a lady to buy you one covertly.<\/p>\n
\tI tried all three, as I watched the Cavs roll snake-eyes on the TV over the bar. I\u2019m not much for sweet drinks, but they were fun. I bet a six-pack of those Willy Wonkas might even get me to sing \u201cPure Imagination.\u201d<\/p>\n
\tThat\u2019s but one of the drink deals going down. The Horseshoe is also hosting live music at the bar, as well as wine flights for $5. In addition, it’s doing a Wine Down Wednesday buck-off deal on wine glasses, as well as $1 mimosas available throughout the casino 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.<\/p>\n
\tMore music at Hard Rock Rocksino<\/p>\n
\tThe Hard Rock Rocksino is expanding its music schedule at its cafe, a 250-seater serving classic American fare and featuring local bands. It\u2019s now going seven days a week. The music starts 9-10 p.m. most nights.<\/p>\n

\tYup, that time of the month \u2013 the time for Groovehaus.<\/p>\n
\tAt 10 p.m. Saturday, the monthly house-music dance party hits the Phantasy Niteclub, 11802 Detroit Ave., Lakewood. This episode stars Kenny Summit of Good For You Records out of Los Angeles. You also get sets by Mike Metz and Rob Ortenzi.<\/p>\n
