The photo was circulated on social media on Sunday night as part of a hoax claiming Mayweather had bet $10.4 million that the Broncos would win the Super Bowl<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\tREVIEWJOURNAL.COM<br \/>\n\tFloyd Mayweather Jr. has denied betting millions on the Denver Broncos to win the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n<p>\tDuring the Seattle Seahawks\u2019 rout of Denver in Sunday night\u2019s game, rumors circulated on social media that Mayweather had bet $10.4 million on the Broncos.<\/p>\n<p>\tHigh-profile accounts including NFL Access, a popular football news account not associated with the NFL, tweeted the rumor, including a photo of Mayweather pointing to stacks of cash.<\/p>\n<p>\tAt least one TV station fell for the hoax, broadcasting the photo during coverage Sunday night. The photo actually was taken in Las Vegas in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>\tMayweather took to Instagram on Sunday to put the rumor to rest.<\/p>\n<p>\t\u201cFor the record, I did NOT bet $10 million on the Broncos,\u201d he posted. \u201cAs a matter of fact, I didn\u2019t bet at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\tHe said he can\u2019t control what rumors get started, but the publicity keeps him relevant.<\/p>\n<p>\t\u201cThe only thing I would bet $10 million on is MYSELF,\u201d he continued. \u201cFrom the looks of my record, I\u2019m a guaranteed WIN!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\tMayweather has a career record of 45-0 with 26 knockouts.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe boxer also was getting attention Monday for taking to Instagram and Twitter to ask fans to vote on whether his next opponent should be Amir Khan or Marcos Maidana.<\/p>\n<p>\tMayweather has been coy about who he will fight next, with some hoping for a matchup between him and Manny Pacquiao.
