\n\tFlamingo Hotel Casino Las Vegas Caesar Entertainment Poker Rooms Mega Beat Progressive Poker Jackpot Hit $767,000It was a very happy Thanksgiving Day for the 198 players across Caesars Entertainment poker rooms in Las Vegas who split almost $767,000 on the holiday eve.
\n\tShortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, the record-breaking Mega Beat Progressive poker jackpot hit. Gary\u2019s Royal Flush of diamonds beat Linda\u2019s four Jacks inside the Flamingo Las Vegas poker room. It was Thanksgiving Eve but one of the players had clearly put the traditional wishbone to work early this year.
\n\tIn this Texas Hold\u2019em hand, Gary from Costa Mesa, Calif., had ace\/10 of diamonds while Linda from Georgetown, Ind., had pocket jacks. The flop came out king of diamonds, four of hearts, jack of diamonds. Linda bet her 3 jacks; Gary called on a flush draw.
\n\tThe turn came queen of diamonds, giving Gary a royal flush. Gary checks to Linda, who bets $4; he calls. The river comes jack of spades, securing the mega beat jackpot.
\n\tThe energy was electric as both players bet into each other back and forth. Once they showed their cards the entire Flamingo poker room erupted with applause.
\n\tThis was repeated across the Las Vegas Strip as the jackpot was announced at participating Caesars Entertainment poker rooms. The Jackpot awards not only the losing hand and winning hand but all players actively playing in any of the participating Caesars Entertainment poker rooms.
\n\tAll 198 players playing at the time in Harrah\u2019s Las Vegas, The Quad Resort & Casino, Flamingo Las Vegas, Bally\u2019s Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Caesars Palace and Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino poker rooms split $766,951.
\n\tLinda, having the losing hand, won $156,189 and the winner, Gary, took home $79,406. All other players received $2,711 for simply playing in Caesars poker rooms at the right time.
\n\tThe Mega Beat Progressive Poker Jackpot was introduced to the Las Vegas market at the beginning of 2013. With a progressive model the jackpot has the potential to climb to more than $1 million. Potentially the Jackpot could become the largest promotional poker jackpot in the casino entertainment industry.
