The regular players continue to have six-figure days and the race for the biggest winner of the year seems to be going in only one direction. While Viktor “Isildur1” Blom held the lead for most of the year, Niklas “ragen70” Heinecker is far ahead as we go down the home stretch, with almost $6 million in profits.

Million-Dollar Swings At The Virtual Poker TablesThe German has been constantly stacking up winnings over the last two weeks, from the $4.6 million he had in late-November.

Ragen70 is the not the only one to make waves over the last couple of weeks as Isildur1 and Gus Hansen have also experienced million dollar swings, although they were the negative ones. Blom lost a bit over $1.4 million across 157 sessions and the Great Dane continued his impressive losing streak for this year and went another $1.4 million in the red.

Thanksgiving action

On Thursday, November 28, Thanksgiving was celebrated across the United States but the holiday did not do anything to stop the European players from playing online poker for huge stakes. Alexander “PostFlopAction” Kostritsyn had the most to be thankful for as he finished as the biggest winner of the day by winning $165,800 from Blom, while playing 8-Game. The session lasted for four hours and while the Russian started really hot, Blom managed to close the gap but the final half an hour proved to be essential as Kostritsyn won $123,000 in just 30 minutes.

Blom went down $400,000 during the day but managed to bounce back after winning $305,000 in 80 minutes from “SallyWoo”. A short stop at the Omaha tables landed the Swede another $30,000 and he finished the day with only $71,000 in losses.

Ragen70 vs. Isildur1

Million-Dollar Swings At The Virtual Poker Tables
Viktor “Isildur1″ Blom
On Friday, Heinecker and Blom faced off in a great battle at the $2,000/$4,000 2-7 triple draw tables across two sessions. The first one lasted 110 minutes and Blom walked away victorious with $60,000 more in his account. The two then met again in the afternoon and after 80 minutes of play, Heinecker was $382,000 richer. They didn’t stop there and later that same day, ragen70 won another $160,700 to finish the day as the biggest winner and give him a total of $2.4 million in winnings for November, while Blom had lost $2 million throughout the month.

The battle continued into December and Heinecker walked away victorious once again on the 5th as he won $150,000 from Blom in one session and $28,000 in another one that only lasted two hands.

High stakes updates

As of now, ragen70 is in the biggest winner of the year with $5,922,056, followed by Bttech86 with a bit over $3 million. Isildur1 has dropped significantly down the list after having a bad run in November is now up a bit under $1 million. Ola “Odd Oddsen” Amundsrud, who challenged Norwegian politicians to a freeroll heads up match for $170,000, is the biggest winner on PokerStars, being up $1,729,297 so far this year.

Gus Hansen continues to be the biggest loser of the year and is now down over $8.6 million for 2013 and over $15 million in total.

Replies:

No replies were posted for this topic.

Ragen70 wins while Isildur1 and Hansen lose As we get closer to the end of 2013, action at the high stakes poker tables on Full Tilt Poker doesn’t seem to be slowing down one bit.
