\n\tMaryland casino revenue rocketed 68 percent in October, driven by a massive increase at Maryland Live.
\n\tThe state’s four casinos generated nearly $66.4 million during the month, up from $39.6 million in October 2012, the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency reported Tuesday. Last year’s figure did not include Rocky Gap Casino Resort, which debuted in May.
\n\tRocky Gap reported revenue of $3.4 million in October.
\n\tExcluding the Rocky Gap revenue, year-over-year casino revenue grew in the state by 58.9 percent.
\n\tMaryland Live, the state’s largest casino, continued to lead the way. The Arundel Mills gaming venue brought in $51.8 million \u2014 from both slot machine and table games \u2014 in October, up 69 percent from $21.2 million a year before.
\n\tThe casino’s 4,341 slot machines remain the biggest money maker, generating more than $44 million last month.
\n\tTable games debuted in Maryland in March, with the first cards hitting tables at Hollywood Casino Perryville.
\n\tHollywood Casino generated October revenue of $6.9 million, up 26 percent from a year before.
\n\tCasino at Ocean Downs reported revenue of $4.2 million in October, an increase of 20.7 percent from a year ago.<\/p>\n
