I was in his company many times.  He was a true gentleman.  Quiet and reserved by nature. He loved and appreciated boxing fans.  <br \/>\n\tHe got me a boxing gloved signed by a ton of boxers including Ali and Joe Frazer.<\/p>\n<p>\tEvery year he would donate signed stuff for my friends charity auction for retired priests on Long Island.  Real nice guy.<\/p>\n<p>\tPatterson was the youngest person to win the championship at 21 years of age.
