He needs to raise $50, cash quickly. He is turned on to a strange woman that calls herself a dice angel. She tells jimmy she can help him win the cash he needs.
This is well written and it will hold your attention until the end.

Running Scared: The Life and Treacherous Times of Las Vegas Casino King Steve Wynn
Non Fiction
By John L. Smith
This book was published in ______, so it is dated. Las Vegas journalist tells the story of the greateet Casino Mogeul of all time Steve Wynn. The book has been criticized for it failure to identify information sources. Steve Wynn sued the author. If you want to learn more about Wynn this is the book for you.

Super Casino: Inside the "New" Las Vegas
Non-Fiction
By Pete Early
This book documents the birth and the revitalization of Las Vegas. Filled with larger than life characters. For me the best part is look behind the scenes of the opening of the then new Luxor Casino. Great for the Casino or Las Vegas Buff.

Whate Hunt in the Desert: Secrets of a Las Vegas Super Host
Non-Fiction
By Duke Castleman
This is the story of independent "super Host" Steve Cyr. If you have seen those Travel Channel often repeated Las Vegas shows, you have seen Cyr. He is the obnoxious guy that talks happily of breaking a guy by having him lose $1,000,000. I found the book to be tedious, but if you want to learn how these hosts make their money you may be interested in this.

Replies:

Posted by: Dominator on January 30, 2012, 11:35 pm

I read Whale Hunt, Running Scared, and Super Casino.

I will have to get the others you mentioned

Dominator

Posted by: Scan on January 31, 2012, 9:22 pm

I highly recommend 24/7 living it up and doubling down in the new Las Vegas by Andres Martinez.
