I assume we all stay at the same hotel. The classes can’t be on the casino floor, so we have a conference room with a craps table in it?? After the lessons, there is practice on the casino floor?? but with 12 slots on a table with only 4 SR/SL slots, how does everyone get to play from one of these positions? And why would any casino allow this to go on at their hotel??? It’s like allowing a rebel army to train at Fort Meade so they could attack Fort Knox!

Just trying to get a picture in my mind how all this would work before I leap. $2000 is no small chunk of change for me. The classes always take place in a non casino hotel. We do not go to a casino and teach in front of the pit crew. You can stay at the hotel/resort of your choice. However many instructors and students like to stay at the hotel where the class is held as it is most convenient. It is your choice.

When you take a class you will have some class room instruction but most of the time will be in a separate room where GTC will have from 1 to 3 craps tables set up plus a number of practice rigs (each rig has a throwing station and receiving station) so that a group (team) of 3 to 5 people (depending on the size of the class) will be perfecting their throw under the watchful eye of an instructor and a mentor.

Your team will spend about 20 to 25 minutes at each station in the room with each instructor. The mentor will rotate from station to station with you. This will continue for two full days. During this all day Saturday and Sunday class, you will get to be coached/taught with each instructor at least 2 times.

Believe me, the instructors are the best. They really care about you learning all about dice control and proper betting. Both which may be very different from what you have been doing in the casinos.

During the weekend you will get to see all of the instructors use the GTC throwing technique. On Sunday we will have a simulated game where you will actually use GTC principles including, the throw, were to stand, the five count, betting technique, etc. And lastly the "box number" contest where you will compete with the other students to see you can throw the most box numbers without a 7,2,3 11 or 12. It is really fun and a great way to celebrate the end of the class and all you have learned.

I don’t know where you live but classes are held in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Chicago and Memphis. See our web page for the class location and dates.

I tell people all the time that taking the class was the most fun I have had with my clothes on in a long time.

Come take the class.

Alligator Rose and I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Doc and Alligator Rose

Posted by: Timmer on November 18, 2012, 4:39 pm

Hello NobelJ,

Dr. Crapology described the Primer class perfectly.

The Primer class will give you a tremendous amount of information along with a strong foundation needed to properly build upon.

But much like golf, baseball or other challenging endeavors, you must take what you’ll learn in class and dedicate yourself to developing your skills through regular, purposeful practice at home.

Purposeful practice means having the initial skill-set to build upon as taught in the Primer class, frequently referring to your class notes to stay on track, then diligently working to execute your practice plan until you have a documented, measurable edge over this negative-expectation game.

Quite the task!

What I describe is as opposed to simply throwing the dice repetitively (and oftentimes mindlessly!) in practice, frequently resulting in developing bad habits which then need to be unlearned.

Little things matter very much when working to develop skills and gain an edge at craps. That is where the watchful eyes of the GTC instructional staff are invaluable.

Practice doesn’t make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect.

NobelJ, I hope this helps you to see the value and worth of our classes.

Perhaps others will chime in with their thoughts about GTC’s curriculum and teaching methods.

 😎 😎 😎

Posted by: Guest on November 19, 2012, 1:25 am

Link to schedule and fees please?

Posted by: Goddess on November 19, 2012, 2:12 am

Here is the link to the schedule of classses:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=698

For Pricing, call 866-set-dice, or e-mail fscobe@optonline.net

Goddess

Posted by: Stickman on November 19, 2012, 2:23 am

DannyP – here is another link to some additional information about our classes…..
http://www.goldentouchcraps.com/classschedule.shtml

Posted by: Guest on November 21, 2012, 9:56 pm

Thank you everyone for your replies.
