Here are some excerpts from their research:<\/p>\n<p>\t&quot;There have been fewer than 60 trading sessions in which the Dow suffered at least a 300-point loss.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>\tHere is a list of some of the events that triggered those losses, in no particular order:<\/p>\n<p>\t[list]504-point drop after Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy, <\/p>\n<p>\t449-point plunge in the wake of the AIG bailout <\/p>\n<p>\t778-point crash when the House initially rejected what would eventually become the TARP bailout<\/p>\n<p>\t635-point fall when Standard &amp; Poor&#8217;s downgraded the credit rating of the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\t685-point decline on the first day of trading after the September 11 attacks<\/p>\n<p>\tThe tech bust also contributed to major losses, as the untimely addition of Microsoft and Intel to the Dow in late 1999 near the market&#8217;s peak gave the average more tech exposure at exactly the wrong time.<\/p>\n<p>\tPrior to that, losses tied to financial crises in Asian currency markets in 1997<\/p>\n<p>\tand in Russia in 1998 caused big drops<\/p>\n<p>\tas did 1987&#8217;s big crash and its 508-point plunge.[\/list]<br \/>\n\t<br \/>\n\tThe conclusion is the market is placing the news of Obama&#8217;s reelection in the same category as some of the events listed above.<\/p>\n<p>\tGod Bless (the once great) America.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"migrated-reply\" style=\"border: 1px solid #eee;padding: 15px;margin-bottom: 15px;border-radius: 5px\">\n<p><strong>Posted by:<\/strong> Stephen C on November 7, 2012, 9:01 pm<\/p>\n<div>The Liberals, Lazy and Lame have so infested our once great nation that there is nothing we can do at this point but become unwilling passengers on this train which is speeding toward the inevitable wreck not to far down the tracks. They all LOL WHEN MY FRIENDS FROM THE CITY CAME WITH THEIR AUTOS AND HINT NOTHING WITH 20 ROUND CLIPS.They would say what a wast of ammo. They all cared single shot shot guns. <br \/>\n\tI just LOL when I hear all these hunters talking about all the assault weapons that they need for hunting. Using choppers for hunting give me a break or should I say give the animals a break.<br \/>\n\tIn my home town they just added a new tax on guns. <br \/>\n\t I think they should just make it harder to buy ammo.  Like you can only get more if you bring what you have used.Bring your brass and get more. I think that everybody should  be able to own them if they want . But if you don&#8217;t use them why have them. Most of my relatives have more guns then arms. I have never run across anyone possessing a legal Automatic weapon that hunts with it. And I know of no state which does not have laws or regulations that limit the number of rounds carried in rifles.<\/p>\n<p>\tSo we can stop the lawlessness by controlling bullets, make it difficult for the law abiding to get them. Ok, I&#8217;ll bite. How is that going to stop the criminal from getting all they want. Here&#8217;s a better idea, we can have all the guns we want. They just have to be given over to the police for storage and you can only access them for cause. Your going hunting &#8230; Yea, you can have this rifle and one bullet. No, you can&#8217;t have this one for home protection, that&#8217;s what we the police are for.<\/p>\n<p>\tReally, your for gun ownership? I was just on a rant. I&#8217;m tired of people telling me what is good for me or not. My &quot;Collection&quot; numbers are meaningless to anyone but me and 95 percent have only been out of the safe&#8217;s for cleaning. Not a shot from any of them.<\/p>\n<p>\tAs a retired Police Officer I have more insight into the harm caused by unlawfully possession of them than most. It is hard when it comes to retirement for you guys. You can remember the real bad ones that you put away but not all and that leaves you with an uncertainty when meeting new people. I have friends that are cops and some times it is hard to pick a place to go out. <br \/>\n\tI wish that the laws would be enforced more .
