\nHey, GTC group, I was working a charity poker event the other night and found that the gaming firm also now includes a couple blackjack tables. I noted their rules and wanted to get some of you Speed Count advantage types \ud83d\ude0e to chime in and let me know if this is worth playing sometime down the road. <\/p>\n

\tThoughts on advantage play\/Speed Count for the following rules for a local charity game? Let me know your thoughts…
\n\tGriz <\/p>\n

\t$5 minimum\/ $100 maximum bet<\/p>\n

\t6 or 8 deck game<\/p>\n

\tDealer stands on hard 17<\/p>\n

\tBlackjack pays 2 to 1<\/p>\n

\tDouble Down: players can double down on any two cards<\/p>\n

\tPlayers can split 3 times resulting in up to 4 hands<\/p>\n

\tInsurance pays 2 to 1. Insurance can be up to \u00bd the size of the bet. Insurance must be in whole numbers<\/p>\n

\tIf betting 2 spots, both spots must be at least double the minimum. Players can play up to 2 betting spots maximum.<\/p>\n

You could just win it from the charity, then donate the winnings back later and take the right off.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

we only make a portion, the company that puts this on gets 50% of the house take, with the three charities of the night splitting the other 50%. This is our biggest money maker for our sports program. We are very fortunate to have gotten this license a few years back.
\n\tyes, I think I will get some good karma points by playing, winning then doing some give-back donations! Great idea!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Rules don’t get any better, especially a BJ paying 2 to 1. Don’t think this will hurt the charities since most people who come to these have no clue about basic strategy or a count system.<\/p>\n

\tI don’t understand how you are getting charged for these events. In our town the rental rate for a BJ table for a charity event ranges from $175 to $250 for a four-hour gig. This includes the dealer, table chips delivery and the raffle tickets at the end of the night. If someone just wanted to rent a table, the charge is $75-100. <\/p>\n

\tThe operator of the rental company has to be licensed by the AG’s office and the charity has to be a 501C charity. The charity must obtain a gaming licence for the evening as well. The charity is not actually able to bank the games so there should not be any money on the tables, it is just funny money. The charity makes money by selling the funny money something close to a 5 to 1 ratio or 10 to 1 ($20 cash get $100 in funny money)<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
