\nA casino in Illinois that opened with 8 tables in the 90’s had only 5 in the early 2000’s, just recently had only 3 open earlier this year and as of 2 months ago is now down to 2. I asked the pit boss "are you going down to one soon?" he said "we can’t" (like it was something they looked into?) Is this a trend anyone else is seeing??<\/p>\n

AND there will always be a few casinos that will give the customers what they want—games where the player has a chance and games that the players love to play. \n\tI have seen less and less of crap tables even when they are crowded all the time . Some open late and close early now .

\n\tMeanwhile the number of players for those tables has remained the same.
\n\tCase in point, drove 3 hrs to the Buffalo area last week. They have 6 tables available with 2 always open.
\n\tAt noon if the 2 tables were crowded they would open a third. Not anymore.
\n\tThe 2 tables had 12 players per table and not one spot opened for the 2 hours that I watched them.
\n\tGot back in my car and drove 3 hours back home without touching a pair of dice. That sucked and I probably won’t return there until those conditions change<\/p>\n
\n\tIn AC a couple of weeks ago we found a lot more tables open and most of them were at least 3\/4 full.<\/p>\n
\n\tIt takes 3 dealers and a box man to man a craps table, so 4 people. And you can have possibly 12 players give or take.
\n\tAt a BJ table a single dealer can deal to 6 players. So potentially those 4 dealers could possibly serve 24 players instead of 12.<\/p>\n
\n\tI’m sure every time a bean counter looks at 4 empty craps tables they are looking at the potential of an additional 50 or more slot machines.<\/p>\n
\n\tWhen we go to a casino and all the craps tables are full we need to go to the pit boss and have a little chat.
\n\tAsk him politely if there is a possibility of another table opening.
\n\tOr if would be better to come back at a different time.
\n\tIs there an actual schedule as to times of tables opening?
\n\tIn general make some small talk and let him know that they are missing an opportunity of having you and others play.
\n\tAlso let him know that you are going to get in your car and go home without placing a single bet.
\n\tBe nice about it but get your point across .<\/p>\n
\n\tBTW, comparison to blackjack and craps is not valid. Much more money is lost at craps than at blackjack. The way people cover all the numbers as soon as a point is established, then get hit with point-seven is astounding.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
