I hesitate to state I hate it because I love it too, its one of those books you do not want to continue reading. While at the same time you don.t want to put it down. I was at times reading with tears streaming down my face putting it down swearing to never touch it and then finding myself drawn back to it like a moth to flame.<\/p>\n<p>\tSet in the modern times Carolina mountains, the main character is a retired Army Colonel who lives there with his two daughters. The location is his wife&#8217;s home town where he brought her after she&#8217;s diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now he works in the local Christian College as a History professor.<\/p>\n<p>\tAfter there is a series of Nuclear detonations above the atmosphere of the US everything including our civilization comes to a stand still. More accurately it gets blown back to the late 1800. <\/p>\n<p>\tIf you have any questions about why me must keep countries like Iran from getting the bomb or why North Korea is such a threat to us now that they do read this book.
