\nI was in a nice, high end Las Vegas casino where they check your room key in order to go to the elevators. I showed my key and walked to the elevators. A man came over and waited as well. When I got on the elevator he didn’t press a button. Neither did I. He waited and I waited. Then I pressed the wrong floor and he didn’t press anything. So I left the elevator just as the doors closed.<\/p>\n

\tI don’t know. Am I being paranoid?<\/p>\n

Sounds like you did just the right thing to me. If he was by chance just a "normal" guy then nothing was hurt by what you did and if he was up to something then you were able to avoid the possibilities by smart action.<\/p>\n

\tAs a woman, I say always go with your gut in these situations. You can never be too careful and that is not being paranoid!<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I once got in an elevator with someone who did not look right to me. I got off the elevator and went back to the casino, waited a few minutes and then took the elevator later.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\tI realize that he did not punch a button but what if he had punched a button (before you punched yours) for a floor above the one you punched? You should do the same thing.<\/p>\n

I had the same thing happen to me and my wife in the elevator. I pulled my wife out just before the doors started closing. The strange looking guy followed us out and waited for the next elevator up. I called security and they were on it quick.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
