The fire bet is a crazy bet, but one of the casinos did an alternate (with the same payout) called the sharpshooter… At the table everyone was playing it and shouting sharpshooter this and sharpshooter that… I thought I was going to meet the real Sharpshooter until I figured out what they all were on about. The sharpshooter is just like the firebet except repeated points count. If you plan to make at least 3 points (even if you just hit the same number repeatedly) it makes sense to bet it.
In my mind a good bet is where you win money and a bad bet is where you lose money (end up with less than you started). The math says you will lose mmore than you win, and I would never bet it on a random shooter, but doesnt it make sense if you know the controlled shooter can do it to take advantage and beat the house at their own game?

Replies:

Posted by: Guest on August 4, 2012, 6:32 pm

Pays according to how many times shooter makes a point(1 to 10)

Depending on the bet and the Pay Table:

A house edge of 21.87%.

Posted by: Skinny on August 4, 2012, 6:35 pm

Sharp Shooter

The "Sharp Shooter" is a side bet in craps made when a new shooter takes the dice, and pays according to how many times he makes a point.
