\nAs many of you know, Sandtrap has had a very difficult 11 months with severe medical problems, so after receiving negative PET and CAT scan reports, we headed for a much needed R&R in AC. Five months of chemo, hospitalizations in Jan., May, & July (all very close calls), and doctors’ appointments every week exhausted both of us, so we were really looking forward to this trip, and spending time with Skinny. (Jack couldn’t make it this time.)<\/p>\n

\tOur craps play the first day was unimpressive. After dinner, Skinny tossed a 15, 4, and 11, and went to play Pai Gow. Sandtrap had rolls of 7, 8, 12, 8, and 18, and went to bed. I had rolls of 5, 10, 30, and 3, and went to Pai Gow, where I was dealt a straight flush (paid $250) and several other small wins. I then went to Video Poker where I quickly got 4 of a kind (125 credits), and so went to bed with a nice profit.<\/p>\n

\tWed. morning Skinny slept in, and Sandtrap and I really struggled with our tosses. Sandtrap managed one 17 roll on his 4th turn with the dice. We then went to Pai Gow, where I again was dealt a straight flush, four 10’s (paid $125), and several other bonuses. I play Pai Gow and VP to feed my craps habit.<\/p>\n

\tWe all went to the craps table at 1pm, we each had an unexceptional turn with the dice, and then it happened. Skinny’s favored position is SL1, but he shoots from SR1 when playing with us. Skinny started shooting, and his dice looked really good. He was hitting box numbers, without his usual come out 7’s or craps showing up. Initially, he was all over the board, with occasional repeats, so by come betting he had all the bases covered (6 box numbers). About the 14th to 18th roll and several hits, Skinny started doing his place betting and progressions. There were some repeats along the way, especially the 5 and 9 in the beginning. After awhile, the 8 started repeating, with an occasional 4 and 10. The 6 didn’t appear for awhile, but when it did, the 8 rarely showed. The 4’s and 10’s were repeating so often, that even I, a $5 player who rarely bets them, was on them as was Sandtrap (earlier than me). The 5 & 9 had virtually disappeared.<\/p>\n

\tHe was also hitting his established points, and I think around the 40th roll I heard the floor supervisor say to security waiting with a fill, "We’ll wait until he makes his point." As the chips were brought in, we both looked at Skinny to see how he was holding up. He looked focused, but just slightly tired. After the fill, he continued to have beautiful looking tosses. When he got to the 68th roll, it was a craps number, followed by another craps number, and the 70th roll was the only 7.<\/p>\n

\tI knew he was doing his "Big Skinny" progression, and he was very lucky that he had two very experienced base dealers who were able to keep up with him. He uses the top rail to keep track of his pulls, and his bottom rail was so full, it was spilling over to the next empty rail. Skinny gradually started to exchange his chips for larger denominations until his bottom rack was all purples. He had never seen anything like it before. Our table was a $10 table, and the only other table was $5, so that table was packed and ours was almost empty. At one point, there was one woman near Skinny who asked, "What are those chips for," as she pointed to his come bet. Skinny ignored the comment, never looking at her, and staying focused. (Eventually, the dealer explained it to her.)<\/p>\n

\tThe final tally we think was approximately 10 fours and tens each, 15 sixes and eights each, and 10 fives and nines each over one hour and ten minutes. By this time, Skinny was exhausted. His previous personal best was 57. We immediately colored up and went for a celebratory drink. I was unable to sleep, and went to Pai Gow where I again received a straight flush, then VP where I had 4 aces, and then to bed. Skinny met us for breakfast on Thursday, and then left for home to surprise his wife. Thursday and Friday several dealers and supervisors asked where was he. Word had gotten out quickly via the dealer telegraph system (the same as with Sandtrap’s 90 roll in the same casino), and they were very impressed. The three of us were ecstatic, to say the least.<\/p>\n
