It seemed almost normal. Biloxi is my favorite craps destination because of the favorable craps rules and the food.

I was comped a few nights at the casino with the 2 letter name so I played there a little. A comped room there is free with no resort fee or any other charges. They had 2 tables open – one at $15 min and the other at $25 min. Pre-pandemic the tables were usually $5 and $10. I never saw anyone on the $25 table and the $15 table was pretty full. I played one session there using a betting strategy that I have been working on for a while, but lost my buy-in. The table was very dead and my usual toss did not hit the back wall very often. Usually a dead table is good, but not this time. The dice would just die on the bounce almost like a kill shot. I also seemed to very self-conscious and was not at ease at all. My throw even looked bad.

I went to my favorite casino the next morning – the one that had the pirate ship before Katrina (there are 8 casinos in Biloxi). After being told by a dealer that there was no such thing as a $5 table anymore, low and behold, their only table was $5. The table was a little crowded and my spot, SL1, was occupied. I had two $10 free play vouchers, so I played those from SL2. I bet the Don’t Pass and won with both. I was about to leave because my wife was waiting on me to check out when SL1 opened up and of course, I slid into my favorite spot. I had the dice only one time but like Mr. Dom says: ‘it was like I was in a movie’. Nothing could go wrong. The only rolls that I did not get paid were the come-outs. I hit number after number, primary after primary – I was in the zone. When the dice were returned to me, the whole table was quiet as I set the dice and tossed. I was completely oblivious to my surroundings. It was like I was home alone throwing on my practice rig. It was probably the most rewarding experience that I have had in the 3 years that I have been playing the GTC way. In that one hand, I won what I had lost the day before and then some.

Thanks to Mr. Dom and the GTC instructors for your wisdom and advice – I couldn’t have had that experience without you.

______________________________________________________________________

The more I practice, the luckier I get.

Replies:

Posted by: Dr Crapology on December 4, 2021, 1:29 pm

Glad you had such success. Biloxi has been a place that we have enjoyed over the years, but found that many of the tables bring to mind a trampoline, so haven’t been a a long time.

A great report.

Posted by: Dominator on December 4, 2021, 1:37 pm

Just a great read and well done shooting!

Dom

Posted by: BigCasino on December 4, 2021, 3:24 pm

Great trip Report ! I know exactly that feeling @bminus1 seems like everything around you goes still and silent when you get in that groove of just doing the same over and over again.

Congratulations on coming back and then some !

Posted by: Preacher on December 6, 2021, 12:33 am

RollTide4Ever and I also visit Biloxi. We were there July 2021 to sweep the cob webs off our game. It was our first casino trip since Covid. Of course, we practice regularly at home, using our throwing and receiving stations that Dominator made for us.

While in Biloxi, we visited four (4) of the casinos. One had the new LED table, a 6′ table, which I wrote about earlier.

I do like playing the tables where you stayed. However, the Crapless table is now 14′, with crazy table positions for Covid spacing.

Doc (Crapology) complained about trampoline tables, but I think that is perhaps an exaggeration? True, the former “hard” tables with felt on wood are fast becoming a part of history. Microfiber layouts are definitely the order of the day. Outside of Vegas, I know of no felt over wood tables that remain. Hopefully, Doc will soon get with the times. I have every faith he could, if he tried.

We’ll be in Denver, Colorado, in June, and we’ll check out the craps tables, there.

I’ll send you a note when we next visit Biloxi.

A few weeks ago, I visited my favorite craps destination: Biloxi. Things seemed almost normal since no masks were being worn except by the dealers. There were no restrictions on number of people at the tables or social distancing…

[9

post-10349","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-craps
["GET
