Thank you for the nice words as all the instructors work as hard as possible to make all students\u00a0 successful.\u00a0 Just make sure you follow both the techniques of the throw as well as the come betting that Dom talks about in class.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

As another Husband & Wife team who learned at the feet of the GTC Masters, I can assure you the lessons are 100% valid and invaluable.\u00a0 We play as a team but in a special way.\u00a0 When one of us is shooting, the other does all the betting.\u00a0 This permits the shooter to focus 100% on the dice while the other handles all the chips.\u00a0 It has worked very well for us over the past 10 years.\u00a0 Oh, one other thing…the dealers will remember you both so toke them well.\u00a0 That’s money well spent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

@bucksterk \u00a0It is a good idea. The best thing about the game is the many ways in which to play it. It is impossible to become bored with the game. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nPlayers who bet all the Box and every other bet would really need someone to handle all the bets just to make sure you are paid correctly. My brain is not spinning numbers like those “numbers guys” rattle off without effort. Your team practice will be perfect for handling large banks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI have usually played no more than four Come Bets at a time along with the Hard Ways and the Point.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nNOTE: The casinos are cracking down on Advantage shooters with not betting on other shooters. I read players are required to bet on (every other) shooter down in the gulf.<\/span><\/p>\nThe casinos have challenged me this year on skipping shooters and not having action.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI am thinking that we will have to start looking at the Don’t Come Bets or something or do what I do now and place Come Bets on every shooter.<\/span><\/p>\nNumber One reason why an empty table is best.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI wonder how that would affect your team betting system. @bucksterk<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

First there isn’t any difference between playing the do or the don’t with House edge …. -1.4 on the don’t and -1.41 on the do. Next do not get into this way of playing,…. betting on every shooter. You have to come up with a line or two.<\/p>\n
This actually happened to me in CT over this past weekend . I was grandfathered in at a table and I was and will ALWAYS use the 5-count on everyone. The suit came up to me and said that she couldn’t keep me grandfathered in if I didn’t bet on every shooter. My response was simple, I said, “I do bet on every shooter that makes it past a few rolls. I just want a couple of rolls before I bet.” She said OK then – no problem<\/p>\n
I have also said things like “The way this table is running I wouldn’t bet on these shooters with your money. (I then laugh)<\/p>\n
You have to come up with things. Forcing you to bet from the get go will lose you money!<\/p>\n

To piggyback on Dom’s comments, we have been instructed to bet on everyone.\u00a0 We also do the 5-count.\u00a0 I’ve had fairly good success by simply saying to the banker\/pit boss, “I’ll bet when the point is set.”\u00a0 It’s fairly common now to be instructed to play the pass\/don’t pass if you have money on the prop bets (ATS & Fire).\u00a0 That’s an easy one to handle.\u00a0 I just don’t play the props except on ourselves.\u00a0 In those cases, the Shooter plays those mandatory bets so that quells the drama.\u00a0 I find that a pleasant demeanor and toking usually makes for a better experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I have no problem were I play about not betting on every player . But I thought that you could do this place a passline bet with an added dollar on top and bet the same on the DP except with out the dollar then put one dollar on side for dealers . If you loose you the bet you loose 2 dollars .If you win you give the dealers 2 dollars and break even . They win and if they have a problem with that I would not want to play there . Now when you roll I would not do that .<\/p>\n

If you are afraid of the 12 then you should not be playing . It does come up but it has to be on a come out roll . You can ask Skinny how often that happens . I would guess that you have had many rolls were you did not see a 12 on a come out roll .\u00a0<\/p>\n
I bet on the player before me just in case of the rule that some casinos have . But as far as every player I try to pass on most . Or just one bet . May be a come bet or just one box number . 6 or 8 .<\/p>\n
Just say you need to use the rest room and get a towel . The pills are working . I cant\u00a0 hold it like I use to . Or just make them think you are hard of hearing . What did you say . Bet on who ? What can I bet on ?\u00a0<\/p>\n
But just be nice what ever you do since it is their GAME .<\/p>\n

I didn’t mean to be afraid of the 12, what I meant is that you will not always push on playing the pass and the don’t at the same time. Just wanted to make that clear for everyone.<\/p>\n
If you must bet on the person next to you, my suggestion is to let them establish a point and then put out a come bet hoping they go point 7 out.<\/p>\n

That has worked a few times more then I want to count . I have no set rules that I use on other players any more . I just bet the way I feel at the time . In the past I had some rules to go by but they did not work out so good . I just hope to see a great roll that I can get 2 come bets on with full odds .\u00a0<\/p>\n
I guess we all have to remember that it is THEIR game . The bad thing is some make up the rules as you are playing .<\/p>\n
