I found that if you tip the dealers will be nicer .What they hate the most is the players that come up throw down their money on the field for a one time bet and walk . They remember them to no end .I have heard them talk about them many times .<\/p>\n
I also have heard them talk about the guy with the tall shoes even saying wish he would come back . I think that is because he tipped .\u00a0<\/p>\n
It seems to me that most dealers do not care but the Pit cridder has to . There is always some one that wants to suck up . He may think that he will get a raise if he gives you heat .Were I play they don’t say moch unless you miss the wall a few times but if I go across the street they start saying things as soon as I set the dice . The last time I went there they did not have a craps table open .<\/p>\n
Some times when I set the dice it seems that it may be to fast since I heard some say that is a professional . I don’t think that I am a pro but have been setting for awhile .I am trying to get a little more excited while playing but it seems that the table still gets quiet when I start rolling . That in it self draws attention and that some times on a table that is empty the other player may not roll .<\/p>\n

What gives us away is the fact we actually make an effort when we get the dice. We stand out because we don\u2019t throw down our hard earned money on shooters who grab the dice, shake them around in their hand, and who then trust the fickle (false)god of luck. Of course we stand out. <\/p>\n
As Dom and Finisher pointed out, we also stand out because we tip the dealers on the Pass Line. A few numbnuts don\u2019t appreciate our tips, perhaps because we do that the smart way, too, paying with casino money when our Pass Line bet pays.<\/p>\n
So, I ignore the idiots. Good casinos teach, and good dealers listen, to thank patrons who take the time to regularly tip. I have even had more than 1 floor manager stop to thank me for \u201ctaking care of his people\u201d.<\/p>\n
i am glad Dominator took the time to let one of the numbnuts know what an ass they made themselves out to be.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

When I walk up to the craps table I find my spot and wait for the dealer to acknowledge me before I buy in. That’s like going to some ones house, you knock on the door and wait for an answer. Sometimes they tell you to place your money down on the table. I will usually tell them I’ll wait until the dice come out. I found in my early craps career, when I tip the dealers they really appreciate it. I like to play at a particular casino, when I buy-in the dealers that know me, go out of their way to welcome me. At times I might have forgotten to place my come bet down. They will say we got your bet. That is one of the perks of tipping. I have found when an asshole dealer in a crew takes a break, the rest of the crew is glad. Some unfavorable remarks are passed. They know that if one crew member is an ass, that can ruin their tips for that shift. All dealers want to be in a good crew and also want to see good players at their table. That combination usually results in good tips. With being a good tipper, an occasional miss of the wall will be overlooked. Dealers rely on tips. The casino business is a service industry. They know good service results in good tips. That should be the norm for most casino personnel. We as players must always respect the table and the house. You show respect and you’ll get respect back. Not knowing who this u-tube person is makes it really\u00a0 tough. Will assume they are a dealer or a hater. If this u-tube person is a dealer or casino personnal, he’s an ass for commenting about any craps players on U-tube. You never know if the casino Bosses are watching. This person might be from another camp (school) looking to bad mouth GTC. I hope not.<\/p>\n

Tipping is good for the dealer as well<\/p>\n
as the player. In my local casino, they like me being at their table. I always have a passline bet for the dealers with odds when I am shooting. I have missed a bet and the dealer might say just tell me, I\u2019ll book it and you can give me the chips after the roll. I have missed the backwall and apologized. I\u2019ve been told that I don\u2019t ever have to apologize for anything as good as I take care of them..<\/p>\n
once in Vegas, downtown, at a table that only had a couple people playing, when the dealers changed positions, the one handling my<\/p>\n
bets tells the new dealer, take care of this guy, he\u2019s being a total George to us… it\u2019s amazing what a dollar chip<\/p>\n
on the line with a couple bucks behind will do for everyone\u2019s attitude…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I had to smile a little with reading as to when you were down town .My experience was different . I went there just to see if I liked the crew . I played from hook which never do for a start .I just fling them the first throw but then set them from then on . Since I was way far from were I normally throw from I did not get it to end of table on second throw . They jumped right on that so I put a bet on the hard 4 and 10 for them and threw a little harder . I got closer and one hit the wall which was a hard 10 for a win for them but not for me . They said that I need to hit the wall with both dice . On my next roll I hit both dice on the wall . So now I am getting to know how hard I need to get it to the wall . Then it is my turn I thought since I will not be coming back for some time I said to them that they need to give me the dice were I can reach them . They had been putting them were I had to go on my tippy toes to reach them . I rolled another hard 10 for them and they did not send the dice back to me liked I asked so I got on them again . This time they sent them back were I could pick them up . I said thank you and rolled and hit the wall with both dice . The roll ended and they made more money then I did it cost me 3.00 for that session . But I did find out what the crew was like . They were surprised that I left after my roll and said to come back soon ,which just lol a little . That was 5 or 6 yrs. ago .<\/p>\n
If they were a little nicer I wound have been back by now .There was no pit critter at the table so I think they should have been nicer from the start .\u00a0<\/p>\n

Several years ago Sandtrap and I were at an empty table early in the morning. We were tipping, but the stickman was putting the stick across the table to interfere with our shot. We knew him, and knew he didn\u2019t like dice setters. We also knew the box\/supervisor. After the second time he said to the stickman, \u201cWho do you think is paying your salary? Keep that stick back!\u201d And that was the end of it.<\/p>\n
