Only card games are legal. So the cards are dealt into to sets of six cards. The cards have from one to six dots on them and are spread out face down on the table. Dice are thrown and lets say a 4-3 show up.Therefore the cards in the 4-3 spots are turned over, Whatever spots are turned up become the number that is used for the call in the Craps Game. Next roll might also be a 4-3 but the number of spot turned up is likely different than on the previous dice roll of 4-3.

Noah

Posted by: High Arc on August 2, 2019, 12:54 am

Thanks for the reply. As I understand it a decision at craps cannot be made with dice. We believe is a state law–maybe in the state Constitution.

What we did see as best we can remember were something like this:

At one place the box man had 6 cards in front of him numbered 1 through 6. If you roll the dice for a 4/2 the box man would push out the 4 and 2 card and your number was a 6. Crazy.

At another casino, the box man had 2 shoes (like they use in a 6 deck BJ game). Each shoe had a bunch of cards in each shoe but only the 1 through 6’s were in each shoe. He would pull 1 card out of each shoe and if a 3 and a 5 were pulled out, the number "rolled" was an 8. No dice on the table at all. When most of the cards had been pulled out each "so called deck" was shuffled. Who knows if this type of way of playing craps is still allowed, they may use a continuous shuffle machine.

This was a long time ago and we will bow to ACPA and that craps at all casinos is now played as he described.

Rose and Doc

PS–as we understand it dice are not allowed in Florida as well. Don’t think they even have craps tables.

How is craps played in California.
