I need to move my table . I can take it apart or just hire some to delver it . Also if I take it apart what do you think about making it longer ; It is 12 foot long now . Just want to have some thoughts on this . I need to make this decision so that I may buy a new felt . The cost of moving may pay for the felt if I take it apart and move it myself . Then it is a lot of work taking it apart .  Thanks .

Finisher, here is a thought for you.  Rose and I have a table that is 10 feet long.  That means that the center of the table is at 5 feet.  To practice for a 12 foot table so we simply need 6 feet so we stand 15 to 18 inches further to allow the additional one foot plus a little room to throw around the stick man.  It works for us.

If we need to practice for a 14 foot table we allow another12 inches .  And all of this can be done within the inside of our 10 foot table.

Hope that will help you.  I would probably not take the table apart (sounds like a big project to take the table abart) but buy some burgers for a couple of friends to help you move the table.

I wouldn’t make it into a 14 footer. If you do, then when you practice for a 12  foot table you will be standing where the stickman stands. Also, a 14 foot will like HUGE in your room

I built my rig in response to the Casinos raising the rail in some locations. I can also rotate for stick position and move it in or out for distance.  As you can see I screwed this baby together with scrap wood in five minutes. Not a fancy boy. It’s all about function.

Well after reading comments I think I will just do some touch on it and then move it .  Thanks for all the input . It does show a little wear since I live in AZ.

Were the Sun Shines and it is on my patio out side were it gets Sun most of the day . Any idea as to how to add ATS , fire and other bets to lay out with little cost ? I have chips for Fire bets . I will try to post Pic of my table before and after I refinish it . If that would help . This would happen after the New Year since I am not home till then .

Thanks .

I had to have one custom made and I can do it for you. I have a 12 foot table. The problem is that it make the layout longer and now my passline is close to the back wall. I could have my guy customize it and make the box numbers smaller so they will fit properly. It would be about $375 if you are interested

@finisher  I certainly would be willing to help with the move any way I can in exchange for some practice time 🙂     I hit the Tall late SAT night at my local spot. Stayed up late went around 11:30pm hoping I could  find a spot on the 12 footer but it was FULL SL1 and SR1 .. Went to the 14 and SL1 open only 1 other player,  I hit the Tall and only needed 2 and 3 for ALL  but didn’t happen.  I only threw the dice one time and left up about 125$  >  The table filled up and I knew I would not see the dice for some time so just colored up and left a little up.

Hi Jack  will let you know about move when get back in US.  Glad to hear that you hit the Tall . Did you think about changing your set for those other numbers ? It would have been great to get them . On  a come out roll would have been a good time .

I usually don’t change sets . A trip ago they payed me for the small 2 rolls after I hit it when one dealer noticed that I made it . So much for me paying attention . We all had a laugh about that .We are thinking about a trip the first of year to Laughlin .

Have some great rolls see you next year .

The table is still on my patio in old house . Both me and the wife are sick for now . The last few weeks have been bad for us . I am thinking more about just bringing the table over and just do some staining  to bring it back to life . I built it in 2009 so it is showing it .

I found some old Pics and will try to repost them . Since I think the old post is gone .

Time sure goes by .

Sorry to hear you are dealing with health issues.  Winter never agrees with me. I feel sluggish, a little heavier,  and crappy by January every year.

Eat home made chicken soup. Good medicine. Bone broth will nourish the body and mind.

Ya, Just restore that table. Sounds like it would be worth the effort.

My enclosed porch has been very cold so I have not been throwing dice as much so when I do I have to make each toss count. Winter will be over soon so be well and take those sunny days.

We ordered some chicken to do just that . Your looks GREAT.

Hoping you resolved your table updates!

got well Thank You. I still have not moved table but did pass final inspection on garage . Need to do a little more work but have been busy .

Went to see the Grd Kids which was great . Was there for 3 months . They now know English, Russia , Spanish and Catalan .

All my practice have been at casinos for now . Which can be costly at times . Will be happy when I get table to new house .

Have you been teaching any craps lately ? I hope all is well with you and family . Hope to see you sometime .

Good Rolling.
