Craps

Proper procedure question ?

Spread the love

So, I was playing craps yesterday and my wife was throwing. The stickman got in the way and the dice hit him. Of course, a seven resulted. The game just continued. Should one ask for a rethrow or is that just the luck of it?

You will find that if it is for the better part of the casino to say no roll then that will happen other wise it is good to go and the faster the better for the casino .

You may find that some dealers get in the way all the time . Either with their body or stick . Then some may step back and give you room .

Good Luck on this Journey .

Good Rolling.

I say the casino should call it a no roll.  BUT it is there game so they set the rules.  My opinion doesn’t count.  Just a thought from the peanut gallery.

I think one could ask politely but we did not. Definitely unfair to ALL the players at the table.

Nope! Do not ask politely or not politely. If the dice hit a player’s hand and a 7 shows the casinos do not call a no roll

Respectfully it was the Stickmans hand not a player. A casino employee.

I know it was the stickman, just giving another example. It doesn’t matter, they will not call a no roll. I actually have had a stickman as the dice were in the air swat at the dice in midair and hit them! The table yelled and then they cheered as the dice landed on a hard6 WINNER

I had experienced other players touching the dice but was unsure about the stickman. Thanks for the clarification. Wish a 7 didn’t roll. I guess we did good saying nothing.

The only time I saw a no roll was on a ship before The Rona, and the stickman reached out, unintentionally, and it was a seven.  We called the floor over and argued, relatively nicely, that it was clearly dealer interference, and they then switched it to no roll.  I very much doubt you’d EVER see that in a land-based casino.

The casinos table & their rules which most of the time favor the home team

I have had the Casino call a NO ROLL on those Roll to WIN tables.  I guess they really drilled it into the card dealers that rotate onto that table (not regular craps dealers)  that if BOTH dice don’t hit the back wall it is a no roll.    Be sure you have the dealers in the game with you that SHOULD help.
