I have been studying Texas Hold’em poker the past year as a break from Craps. I like that I can get a lot of hands in within 30 minutes.

Bill Burton, my partner that passed wrote a great book for beginners in Poker. Not sure if you can get it still on Amazon or maybe eBay. It is called “From the Kitchen table to the final table”
I use to play a lot on line, made the final table at least 4 X in 500 people tournaments. Bill would come home from work at 10:00 PM EST and if I was at the final table or close to getting there, he would log on and we would play the cards together. The tourneys I would enter started at 6:00 PM EST. Good times and I miss him so much

That sounds like good times. I know about what you mean about missing characters in our life’s past. Good times and memories.
I like the short tournaments. I usually get into the top third but have not made it to the end yet.
The thing I like about online poker is I can play many hands in thirty minutes. There is nothing like the feeling go getting your hand on the river and taking the pot.
