Doc had been thinking about these two types of tables. As a matter of fact he had posted an earlier message about these types of tables but could not find it on the board.
But here is a couple of additional thoughts concerning these two tables:
First of all, for those who are not familiar with the crapless table vrs regular table, the difference is that if you roll a 2, 3, or a 12 you don’t lose your pass line bet/ come bet but the three wages becomes points. And of course you do not win if an 11 if rolled as it also becomes a point as well. So you have the potential of of 10 point numbers vrs 6 on a regular table.
Now let’s consider the fact what we teach in class. We stress the hard way set so that we can hit the 6 box numbers for points on a regular craps table. We pretty much try to take the “horn numbers–2, 3, 11, 12–out of play. I know that Rose and Doc don’t usually roll many of these horn numbers with the hard way set. So this this begs the question if GTC stresses hitting the 6 box numbers on a regular craps table why would we play a crapless table? Again this is simply the opinion of one GTC person. Never forget the hard way set is by far the best set to avoid the 7.
I know many players like the crapless since since if you set a point of 12 and it does hit, you get a bigger payday. But at the cost of a higher house vig. I know it’s exciting but aren’t you really just being a another gambler (rather than an advantage player) who likes to play the prop numbers in the middle of the table.
Now others will say you can change your set to something like 12 on top and 2 on the bottom you might increase your chances of hitting these bigger number. BUT remember the old hard way set that we teach in class will give you the best protection against rolling a seven.
If you wish to make a short run at a crapless craps table be our guest. However, we suggest you make your bets small and only play for a short period of time. Avoid the high house vig.
Doc recommends any and all comments others might have on this subject.
Just a few thoughts from the peanut gallery from a Doc with too much time on his hands with the corona virus shut down.
Look forward to seeing everyone in Vegas in early October. Looks like a great class is being formed.

The biggest reason to not play the game is that on a crapsless game the passline has a house edge of 5.38% but in regualr craps it is 1.41% , a huge difference.
As far as the set is concerned, what are we trying to do when we throw the dice? it is not to make a certain number , IT IS TO AVOID THE 7. This is true even in a crapsless game. The hardway set is the best for this.
I really hate to say what NF5 and I came up with on how to bet this game.

Hay Doc I just had an idea . Since Skinny is a great math guy at craps he should come up with a bet some what like the FIRE for the crapless table and sell it to the casinos . I think he could come up with something that the players would like and the casinos also . It could be a money maker for him . On all these bonus bets the casino have to pay someone .
I even have more time on my hands now that I am in Spain for 3 months with out a table or even dice . Forgot to pack a pair . They also opened up crap play while I was away .
Good Rolling.

Dom, I agree, the hard way set is the best set to avoid the 7. I know that Rose and I do tend to hit the inside numbers (5,6,8,9) the most. Yes we do hit the 4 and 10 just not as much as those inside numbers.
We will avoid the crapless tables for these reasons. Really can’t wait for Vegas early next month.

I prefer the regular (6 Point) table over the crapless and but when I do play it I stick with the hardway set to avoid the seven.
