I’ve built a half craps table in my basement. I noticed when I use the hard way set and my throw is a little off, I can almost always count on throwing a seven. I’ve experimented with the Sixers on top perpendicular to each other, and when my throw is a little off, very seldom seven out. So far my best/?longest roll is 37. I will keep practicing. Was just wondering if some sets are better for different shooters?

NO. Go to our YouTube channel and look at the video ‘It is never the set” Anecdotal evidence, (not doing a controlled sequence) doesn’t mean anything. If you really wanted to find out, do 5000 throws with the hardway set, and then 5000 throws with 6’s on top and you will see that the hardway set will give you a better SRR.
Think about it – we are trying to throw a perfect shot al the time. With the hardway set that means a hardway number – each would pay something, with the 6 set a perfect throw will give you non paying numbers, the 12 and the aces.

Well said Dom,
The hard way set is the best way to go. Rose and Doc use it exclusively.

When I took the class I just hated it when the instructor said that it was a good 7 . With out saying how to avoid that good 7 . But maybe that is for the next class ?
The GRIP is it .
Good Rolling.

:)))
I am sure you did, but your got to remember that we are trying to keep the dice on axis so a 4/3 or a 5/2 is on axis. Actually in Smart Craps that throw does give you a positive mark in the first pro test
