Plans to Reopen the Las Vegas Strip

Spread the love

The Nevada Governor Stephen F. Sisolak, Democrat, former Clark County Commission Chairman (Las Vegas), has been uncertain on any dates to reopen the Strip. So, we’re left with rumor and gossip, for now.

Wynn CEO Matt Maddox called on Nevada officials to begin reopening the gambling hub in mid-to-late May — as long as the local rates of COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths stay below the national average. He also said they would use thermal cameras to identify those with higher than normal temperatures.

I have 4th hand information from the CEO of MGM Grand through a friend who is a Whale at both Ceasars and MLife proprties. He said the plan was to limit craps tables to 6 max, down from 12. Table minimums would be $25, since lower minimums would not cover the cost of dealers, etc.

I suspect we will not know more until May.

Dom

Any words of wisdom about any changes to throwing positions when things reopen?
Do you thinks SL1 will still be available or will they move people away from the stickman?
I usually always throw from SL1, would you suggest I start practicing from SL2 or SL3?
If so, any pointers???

THanks and stay safe.

If the number of craps players is going to be reduced, I wonder if the number of crew members might be reduced as well.  I was at a 12′ table once with only 1 or 2 other players and the stick person was dismissed. One of the other dealers took the stick.  With only 6 players max, maybe only 3 crew members are needed.
