After getting 86th from my favorite casino in October 2017, the afternoon before the Vegas shooting, I am returning to downtown Las Vegas in over two years. Don’t think I gave up gaming, I am an advantage player you know, and have been taking my skills to Laughlin. It’s an Incredible value, easier drive, and I can bring my dog and have a pet room at Harrah’s. 20 years ago I switched my allegiance from the strip to downtown, and have watched it as it has gotten more expensive and more Seedy on the FSE. The buskers and kooks hustling bothers me as well. I am enjoying Laughlin as it is a quieter, Older age bracket location I know, yet the value and the comps seem to be more generous, like Vegas in the good all days 20+ years ago. Plus now that I have a boat the river is a huge bonus.
I will be staying at the valuable rock downtown, I will likely be in my KC hat, and you will be able to find me at either SL one or quarter blackjack, playing the part of an inexperience Poppy, adjacent to the craps table or in the high limit saloon. If I’m playing blackjack, introduce yourself as a fellow GTC, and will go play some dice. Otherwise have a happy holiday everyone
