Are the dates on the seminar classes, on the site, for 2019 or 2020. I am needing to get to a refresher course as soon as possible. Will call the 800# but thought if could get dates here that would be great. Couple of items. Went to a primer class back in march. been practicing my brains out. have had my wife look at my throws, went through the manual several times, watched the video numerous times, videoed myself numerous time, still throwing more 7’s then like. Have only gone to a casino 3 times, once in vegas did not bet much, but throws were pretty good. Throwing down in tunica, some throws good , some not so good. Here is a question: I throw from stick left 1, had a couple of dealers say my swing in front of them to wide. When keeping my arm straight , swing to wall, going to far in front of them. the dealers had me move over to stick let 2 or over even a little more, was not excited about that so colored out. dumb questions, but how do i shorten up my swing, while keeping arm straight and not reach out in front of dealers?
So recap questions:
1. when is next refresher course?
2. how shorten up swing?
thanks for any and all help.

Many, if not most of us have been told that and more. Don’t let it frustrate you, but absolutely be prepared for it. Just say "absolutely" and move to the left. But you must be ready to lengthen your throw to account.
I am in a market, as are many, where I have 14′ and 12′ tables. My primary venue has 3@14′ and 6@12′, but they open the 14′ first, so I play on 14′ more often than not. In addition, I play often enough with friends and GTC family who prefer the SL1 position, or perhaps more that want both 1st and 2nd positions. So here’s what I do (read all the way to the end because there’s a caveat):
– I ALWAYS practice from SL2 on my 12′ table (ok, primarily): this gives me ability to play SL1 on the 14′ tables
– I sometimes practice from SL1 just to be able to get the shot down with less energy
– If I’m going on a trip, perhaps a cruise being hosted by GTC’s Midnight, or meeting the gang in AC (rare as I’m in Chicago area), I’ll practice from SL3. Note that by practicing from SL3, I’ve also opened up the possibility of shooting from the SR Base dealer’s 1st position. I’ve done this very successfully multiple times, though the house has to allow you to reach in front of the base dealer’s chip stacks and you have to be able to clear them, but I’ve been allowed to date.
BIG NOTE: I’ve taken through Advanced classes and gone into open houses on GTC weekends to get folks to take a look if I’m struggling, and I do have a GTC alum I practice and shoot with (SCOOTER) and my casino son (BigDaddyRevs) who came to town recently and we video’d each other and tweaked from there. This is to say that you MUST, as Dom insists, get your PRIMARY shot down first. If your primary shot is SL1, then make sure you’re getting an edge from that position before moving to SL2. OR, as in my case, my primary position is SL2 on a 12′ so that I open up options. In reality, my longest rolls are from SL3 on 12′ because I’ve been able to get a good edge from the SL2 and practice adjusting.
Sorry for long answer, but some answers aren’t simple.
Best of luck on your journey, and keep at it!
Don
