I know everyone is different, so just a good recommendation. what would be the farthest a person should drive after a warm up, example: if you live 15 minutes from a casino, you can warm up at home drive to casino, then play, but if you live 3 hours from casino, little tougher to warm up then drive and play, any recommendations?

I typically drive 3 hrs. to a casino. I get comped a room, so’ upon arrival (usually around 1:00 PM), I check in and go to the room. I warm-up by tossing on the bed or sometimes I bring a cardboard box. The cardboard box is cutout to form a bottom, sides and a back wall. I mostly look at the dice in the air and warm-up until the dice look good, that is, rotating together properly at the proper arc. The cardboard box can be helpful to see how the dice land and bounce. Of course, you want the dice to land flat and bounce straight back to the back wall. If the dice are at an angle with the box bottom, an angled cut or dent will be made that is quite visible and the dice will dart to the sides – that is not good. I hope that this helps.

The more I practice, the luckier I get.

First if you’re going to warm up before you go play practice the way you play. By this I mean if you’re throwing into the bed do not watch that dice focus on your landing spot on the bed always train yourself to do the same things over and over. Im an hour from the casinos maybe an hour and a half I to get comped rooms. Goes like this for me, check-in, go get something to eat, take it to my room eat and watch a movie, relax, and develop a plan of attack. When I’m mentally and physically ready to go play I go find a table with only a few people on it by and start to play if anything doesn’t feel right the rhythm my grip the way the dice are releasing my emotions my mind I quit. I go back to the room and work on my shot, or my mind, or my emotions, whatever it is that is off. I go out once again hunt down a table no more than five people on a table, this is the absolute max for me. play again if it feels good I’ll take my three or four turns , if it doesn’t feel good I’m done after one turn. I’ll pack it in for the night now knowing I’m not ready to play. I’ll go get a massage, I walk around and talked all the people that I know, I’ll go get something to eat I’ll do all the things that make me feel good so that I become ready to play the next day. Next day I’ll get up early 6or7 in the morning find an empty table finish working it out. My goal is to be completely ready to play seriously by my third or forth session at the latest. I time my arrival with enough time to get in the two practice sessions the day I arrive, one early morning session on the day that I really want to play. Now I do all this because when I’m planning how I want to play I am planning on playing on two or three specific tables tables that I know I can beat. When I make my initial plan I know what time those tables are opening on day two. My goal is to be at my peak ready to expose maximum dollars on one of those three tables on day two and then I go from there. I carry a little 12 x 12 practice box that breaks down on all sides and fits in a backpack so when I am practicing in the room I have a landing zone that I’m specifically attempting to hit this also gives me a good read on how my days are going to react it has felt on it it has diamonds in it it is just like a landing area on the table.

B-Man is correct. Listen to your body and take a power nap before hitting the tables. If I did not get a comp room I take a 30 min powernap in the car listening to classic rock and then I get my self a large cold brew and head over to the tables with a clear mind.
