warm up before play

Spread the love

I understand everyone is different, but what would be a good recommended warm up time, practice time ,just an average, right before you go to the casino

I warm up in the room before I go down to the casino to play. I toss from a table onto the bed. I toss until I am throwing consistently good shots. If that takes 4 tosses or 40, I am looking for consistency. I am not concerned with outcome. I only care if the dice are flying together and rotating the same. If so, I know that I am ready to play.

NFF has given you some great information.

Rose and Doc have a small receiving station made out of MAPP Board –kind of a thicker poster board that you can purchase in most any craft store such as Hobby Lobby. It easily fits in a small suitcase. Doc made this before we found out that Dominator actually makes and sells one for practice in the room. Dom’s is great. Simply lay it in on the bed to catch the dice.

AS NFF says you don’t worry about results but look at the dice in the air as he illustrates when you throw the dice. You don’t need much just a little something to receive the dice. We know of several who take a drawer out of the dresser, lay a towel in the drawer and take some practice throws.

We also set the ironing board in the room about 28 inches from the from the floor and use it as our throwing station to set the dice and throw from it to our landing area whether the landing area is simply the bed or a little something placed on the bed to catch the dice.

Hope these ideas help you.

Sandtrap and I always practice in the room by throwing to the bed until the dice look and feel right. If there is any question or problem with your grip, you can check it in the bathroom mirror.
